Phil Brown

I remember Phil Brown following George Burley's lovely football by selling our best CF on deadline day, playing our most creative midfielder too deep and replacing our keeper with an ancient goalkeeping coach.

Thank God we won't see those days again.

In fairness to the tango man Rasiak's sale was forced upon us by the co-op bank. Even Brown wasn't stupid enough to sell his top scorer out of choice.

It was more his response after that did it for me, claiming that he wasnt that good anyway.

Paul Clement also had 33 games, so I think it is fair to make a judgement on NP after such period, 24 games left!

No Phil Brown had to borrow 5 players or more .. couldnt afford to buy anyone and had to sell our top players. He lasted 33 games which made allowance for the limitations he had to deal with the 3 amigos.

Paul Clement got us to 5th after 33 games.. in fact we were top at christmas if I remember. If Pearson gets us to top at Christmas then he shoudlnt be sacked before 33 games.

More chances of pigs orbiting earth than DCFC being top at Xmas, I'd take top half and 10 goals!

It's all okay, history is repeating itself. Pearson will destroy all footballing elements of our team leaving a team of hoofballers. He'll get the sack, be replaced by long ball specialist tony pulis- and we'll scrape our way through 1-0 wins to promotion. Sadly we'll then get destroyed in the premier league again, go down with 9 points and the process starts again..
