Yes Baird was great at Chesterfield at CB

Looks rejuvenated.

Ince has played central striker  lol and scored hat tricks.

Elsnik looks a star in the making .

Nah, your method of playing half the team out of their usual position and losing 7-0 sounds much better to me.

Who's out of position

                      Carson

Christie.       Baird.      Shackell.     Olsson

      Hendrick   Elsnik   Butterfield    Johnson

               Hughes

                       Ince.

This team has energy.

Hendrick on the right when his better performances have come as a centre mid, Baird as a centre back, Ince as a lone striker, Elsnik as part of a midfield 2 when he's played mostly as an attacking midfielder or striker throughout his career and even Johnson to an extent, he played well on the left for Norwich but was shocking there last season for Derby.

This team has energy and would play free flowing interchanging football not static same old same old 4-3-3

Hendrick ,Hughes ,Butterfield and Elsnik would be interchanging with Johnson and Ince would be roaming.

Baird looked solid at Chesterfield at CB.

Well then, I guess Mel should have appointed you instead of Clement, then Wassall and then Pearson. You know without even needing to try that team that it will produce free flowing interchanging football, you're a genius!

Hughes is not a 'no 10'.

Ince is not a central lone striker. Only Martin plays that role to any effect.

Hendrick is not a winger. Johnson is, but barely

Baird over Keogh? Take out a) the captain and b) the best defender for someone who doesn't move as well, pass as well, and is shorter.

Madness.

Do you know who was great at CB all of the last 4 seasons? Richard Keogh.

Do you know who else plays as a central striker and not only scored hat-tricks but lots of goals? Chris Martin AND Darren Bent.

I didn't say he wouldn't be, but the team you suggested and the comments you've made in this thread are silly. "This team has energy and would play free flowing interchanging football not static same old same 4-3-3." We played the best football we have in years in a 4-3-3 under McClaren, but because under Clement the 4-3-3 didn't work you now write it off. You come across as a bit of a football hipster (not necessarily a bad thing), you like to go against the grain and demand change all the time.

The thing is, his comment about Ince playing central striker and scoring hat tricks is wrong. He's scored 1 hat trick in his career, whilst playing as a number 10 behind Bent, not as a lone striker.

Why is this team so bad.

You know I would sell Martin and Keogh and replace them with the money we got  I've already said that.

You think it would lose 7-0 well fair enough but you have no justification for that .

Reasons why I believe it's bad:

  • Ince as a lone striker
  • Hendrick on the right
  • Baird ahead of our POTY Keogh
  • Johnson on the left ahead of Russell
  • Elsnik playing in a midfield 2 when he's played mostly as a #10 or striker throughout his career
  • Dropping our best striker of the past decade+
  • Playing a team of centre midfielders basically, would have basically no width

Whats your justification for potentially playing 6 players out of position...
