Anyone feel like the club are trying to reassure us Chrissy will be back for next season? Feels like every other day we're getting an interview with him...

Striker Chris Martin is ready to put his injury frustration behind him as Derby County’s attentions turn to the 2015/16 season.

Nah, he's just one of the few players who's had to hang around Moor Farm over the holidays as part of his injury rehab. The marketing/PR team need something to fill the void between announcing all these stellar signings.

it feels like one of those situations where he doesn't have the operation over the summer.breaks down in the first month of the season and has to have the operation anyway and misses four months of the season. Hope I'm wrong.

Yes, you see it happen time and time again. Surely, a minor operation at the end of the season would clear up the problem and the close season would take up the rehab time.

I hope I'm wrong, but you can see him breaking down during the pre  season friendlies and then being out until early November.

Forget the physiotherapist and the specialist, they should just drop you a PM next time ;)

Come up with a better one then.

Come on Chrissy Martin

Change your surname so it rhymes with something ending with 'erby'

We go wild, wild, wild.

Clearly haven't seen any of my chant suggestions in other threads, I give very generously.

I think it already does ;)

Also if we can replace the physio with rustylee and Chris Evans with Ambitious I reckon we can save a fair few quid on backroom wages?

I'm no physio just a glass half empty sort of guy. In all seriousness it is good news that he doesn't require surgery as even minor surgery has risks attached.

There was on here a few weeks ago that was better, to the tune of I would walk 500 miles.

I personally hated that one actually, not even being obstinate.

Then again I liked the "WonderWard" song so what do I know?

Brough up on here a while back

And I would 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more

Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles to see Chris Martin score

dadadadadada (dadada)

dadadadadada (dadada)

dubudumdubudumdubudumbanana (well that's what I always thought it sort of was)

It's not a 10/10, more of a 7, but at least it's not a generic 0/10.

Would prefer something like:-

'Cos he can't run 500 miles because he's always rolling on the floor,

but the Derby fans don't give a **** just as long as Chrissy Martin scores'
