jimbobram
I agree with the people who say they don't want him rushed back, but that is never going to happen. We are joint top without him, he visits a specialist regularly who would say if he wasn't ready and the management would never put a player at risk like that who has just come back from a serious injury. Look at Wardy, he was a key player before he got injured, he is pretty much fit now but he could possibly have played weeks ago, however they decided that they didn't want to risk it. Basically what im saying is Thorne will be back on the pitch when his knee is 100% better.
The Scarlet Pimpernel
If he is now involved in full training, which is pretty fast and vigorous, I expect him to be on the bench at least by the Bournemouth game.
Kernow
Pre-season usually lasts about 5 weeks, and that's to get all players capable of playing full competitive matches. Using that as a judgement I'd say we could expect GT on the bench in about a month. Maybe give it a little bit longer before he starts due the nature of the injury. Kernow
Bournemouth 10th Feb. 4 weeks today. Would be too early to start him imo, but the training staff will know better than me obviously. Possible return on the bench but then is it worth it? What conditions would he be brought on in? We wouldn't bring on a CDM as his first game back from injury if we were losing and I doubt we'll be comfortable going into the last ten mins to give him a run out. Away to Rotherham or home to Sheff Wed would be my guess for when George is next on the pitch for us.
ramsbottom
I for one would treat him with kid gloves at the moment. We have two able deputies in Eustace & Omar so unless either of those get injured/suspended or our form takes a severe nose dive around the end of Feb I'd leave it til at least mid March. Get him back up to speed for the run in
