Curtains
] Keogh will be sold and Shotton will be his replacement the we will bring someone in on loan for cover if needed. i would fully expect Burnley to come back in with a higher offer, no team will bid their max price straight away nowadays...2m plus add ons and he will be away imo Right Shotton he's the answer is he at CB he must be better than Keogh it stands to reason. beaufort
To the people who say we can't sell him - if he is refusing to to sign a new contract we have GOT to sell him! We simply cannot afford to let him run down his contract and leave for nothing, that would be madness in the extreme. To a Championship club a fee of around
inter politics
That depends, if you don't think you can properly replace Keogh and the different attributes he offers the squad and we have a better chance of making the Prem with him around, then maybe that risk (him not signing a new deal) is worth it.. Curtains
Anybody ever thought what Dyche wants Keogh Answer because Dyche knows his onions and Keogh is a good CB . Maybe Dyche can't find better so I hope McClaren can if he lets him go. There's not much out there available http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2733335/Sean-Dyche-says-Burnley-priced-market-rich-lower-division-clubs.html

They are destined to return to the championship. They know it and are unwilling to pay wages and fees of PL standard. They will not attract PL standard players. While many Champ players don't see the point in earning the same at Burnley and spending 1 season in the PL. They could end up getting promoted with the team they are at. We can attract better quality players than Burnley. We also seem to know more of them now.

Bucko is carrying an injury and Whitbread is injury prone. Shotton could do ok but is unproven at CB. McCormack was 12 Million and Keogh is 1.5 that's insane. Keogh had McCormack in his pocket in the 5-1 win against Fulham PS I expect Keogh to be offered a new contract a bit like Bryson's
beaufort
Keogh has been offered a new contract - he hasn't signed it yet! No way would Derby let matters get this far without putting their best deal on the table, Rush is way too smart for that. If we have given it our best shot, and he isn't happy, then he has to go whilst we can get a decent fee. We might have a better chance of reaching the top flight with Keogh in the side but if we don't get to the promised land, and Keogh walks away for nothing, what an absolute waste of a very large sum of money. We haven't got that sort of cash to gamble with. Besides, if he doesn't sign a new contract he will be looking for another club come January, what a distraction for him. Ward has said how much better he feels to get negotiations out of the way and his form reflects that, we need settled players at the club.

Walsall_Ram
Last year on his contract though.. Do you sell for 1.5/2 m now or risk it being 500k/750k in January or even a free next summer..

MACKWORTHRAM
I cant understand why some of our fans think Keogh is a liability!? We finished 3rd last season, got the highest amount of points we have had Keogh was a massive part of that. He had a blip at Wembley and now our so called fans are on his back. Probably the same ones that booed Dawkins off at Sheffield Wednesday. Buxton and Forsyth are as much to blame for that Wembley goal. If either of them has defended it properly it would never have got to Keogh. Ive also seen a lot if fans say "he makes a mistake every week" "hes a liability" I think Keogh has been brilliant for us this season. Other than giving the penalty away at Charlton what else has he done wrong!? I cant for the life of me understand why some of our fans want him to go and think we can just replace him easily. With logic such as "Well Loovens had a good game against us last season in the 1 game I saw him. He is QUALITY" I think Keogh will sign a new deal and I hope he does. Then again if he comes on here and reads some comments from our so called "supporters" he is probably wondering why he bothers.

AmericanRam
If he wants to go that is his business. However,I for one would rather play for Derby rather than Burnley at the present. At Derby:He is the captain, has great teammates, has unifinished business and has something to play for.At Burnley he would probably start but what is he playing for?Scraping and clawing with a subpar team just to not finish dead last in the prem?Getting immediately sent back to the Championship? To me if he wants to go to Burnley it is not about winning or even being competitive but about wages.I understand everyone wants to play in the prem...but for Burnley? We will see. P.S. I actually see him staying when all is said and done.
