Ramchope
Cool. See he is a defender according to wikipedia, anyone know what position?

North_Stand_Ram
He is a left back. Left his club after rejecting a new contract at the end of their 2013 season (i think it was at the end of December). Swedish international. Would require a fee

duncanjwitham
Bolton fans are saying he's a Centre Back and that the deal fell through because they didn't want to pay the £320k fee. If that's the case, I'm not sure I'd want us to be paying that much for another Centre back at the moment.
Ramchope
Read in another article he is a left-back. 2 Swedish international caps at 22 is pretty decent, although odd that he hasn't had a club since summer. edit (since November, didn't realize Swedish league ends then so not so odd...) rynny
According to this he is mainly a CB but can play anywhere across the back 4 http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/mikael-dyrestam/profil/spieler_96043.html

Ambitious
From my sleuthing around, he was offered two good contract offers by Goteborg. He has been offered a few deals (from reports) including Werder Breman, Heerenveen and Cagliari (amongst others) and was nicknamed the 'brute' by supporters, who seem to rate him and think he's a loss judging by some Swedish blogs. Dougie Freedman really likes him, which he admitted. However, they simply cannot pay the fee asked due to their crippling finances. played 22 out of their 30 games in the league, including some Europa qualifiers and they finished third and had the third best defence in the league. Without seeing him personally, or able to look at opta stats - it does sound like it could be a worthy gamble.

Tricky1884
If we have a bit of cash he looks good Bolton's lose might be our gain...... With 14 games left if anyones out and that back it worries me.
Tricky1884
What would the fee before if he has left?
jimbobram
I think we should wait to see the outcome of our season before we sign players on permanent deals. Dont really fancy him for the premier league....Ashley Cole is free in the summer i think though

maydrakin
What would the fee before if he has left? He's under 24, therefore as he has been offered a contract by Gothenburg, they would be eligible for a development payment.
Whoneedshuls
Sign him up if he can play across the back four no guarantees of barker or ob coming back and not getting any recurring injuries. wisdom and whitbread probably gone at end of season so no harm in giving him a contract if hes cheap enough.
