I don't know whether it's the negativity coming out in me or having a lack of faith but...

I still see us struggling away from home against midtable clubs. Dominating Blackburn away certainly helped.

But I still kind of expect us to lose away games to teams like Ipswich, Boro, Birmingham, etc.

Teams at the bottom are genuinely there because they've struggled to win. I thought our games against Bournemouth, Charlton, Huddlesfield, Barnsley etc. were going to tough but thought we'd probably get a draw and both teams would take that..

We'll probably be fine and go to the likes of Brum and Sheff Wed and win but it seems I still can't get my head around us going to away grounds like that and being favourites to win...

Not looking for any arguements here but IMO I reckon the last 5 years or so of having a defeatest mentality away from home is to blame for that.

I've got us down for 18 points and I think that's being very conservative - we all know this season is shaping up for a Derby vs Forest playoff semi final, right??

Yep. Sometime between May 7th and 16th dates to be confirmed.

Final is Sat May 24th.

Birmingham (A) - W
QPR (H) - L
Sheffield Wednesday (A) - D
Bournemouth (H) - W
Burnley (A) - L
Millwall (H) - W
Bolton (H) - W
Reading (A) - L
Forest (H) - W
Ipswich (A) - D
Charlton (H) - W

21 points which give us 72.

Compare that to QPR -

Burnley H - L
Derby A - W
Reading H - D
Charlton A - W
Sheff Wed A - D
Leeds H - L
Birmingham A - W
Brighton A - L
Yeovil H - W
Middlesbrough A - D
Wigan H - L
Blackpool H - W

18 gives them 73

and Burnley -

QPR A - W
Millwall H - W
Bolton A - D
Bournemouth A - D
Nottm Forest H - L
Derby H - W
Blackburn A - D
Birmingham A - W
Leeds H - L
Charlton A - W
Doncaster H - W
Leicester H - L

20 gives them 72

So looking at that we'll still be right in the mix.  Of course all of this is merely guess work but looking over previous season rarely do a side within the top 6 at this point of the season go on an long unbeaten run or string 6-7 wins together.  It's always a team languishing below finding a form & making a late charge.
Craig Ramage summed it up best before the Blackburn game "Stop looking over our shoulders and look up"...

Going back to my pre-season predictions...

H/A	Opponent Res	Running Total
A	Birmingham City 1	52
H	Queens Park Rangers	1	53
A	Sheffield Wednesday	3	56
H	AFC Bournemouth 3	59
A	Burnley 1	60
H	Millwall 3	63
H	Bolton Wanderers	1	64
A	Reading 0	64
H	Nottingham Forest	3	67
A	Ipswich Town 3	70
H	Charlton Athletic	3	73

22 points from the 11 games.

I currently predict we'll end the season on 85 pts, which will put us comfortably in the play-offs but automatics are unlikely unless we have another great run.

Birmingham (A)

QPR (H)

Sheffield Wednesday (A)

Bournemouth (H)

Burnley (A)

Millwall (H)

Bolton (H)

Reading (A)

Forest (H)

Ipswich (A)

Charlton (H)

19 points. I think we'll probably get from 18-20 points but not necessarily as expected (we could go to Burnley and play them off the park only to lose to Bolton at home).

However, has anyone looked at April/May yet?

Boro (A) won 2-1

Blackpool (A) won 5-1

Huddersfield (H) drew 1-1

Doncaster (A) won 3-1

Barnsley (H) won 2-1

Watford (H) won 3-2

Leeds (A) won 3-1

Pretty much the teams we played in our unbeaten run, if we put on a run against them it could propel us to second or at least take us into the play-offs on a high. I can see us winning every single one of those games, even giving allowance for 1 or 2 slip-ups we'd take a very impressive points total by the end of the season.

I've not done one of these in a while...

So how many points and where will we be at the end of March?

Birmingham (A) d

QPR (H) d

Sheffield Wednesday (A) d

Bournemouth (H) w

Burnley (A) l

Millwall (H) w

Bolton (H) w

Reading (A) l

Forest (H) l

Ipswich (A) l

Charlton (H) w

im a fan of 45 years, **** always happen at DCFC you dont see coming, so putting on my un-optomistic derby hat... 15 points ( ave 1.5 per game) at worst, so 61 overall, still in the play-offs, unless ipswich (who have an easy few games except fester and brighton making them v us  crucial) or someone goes on an unexpected unbeaten run !
