They all sound worthy until you read Steve's.......

Steve McClaren (Derby County)
A December to remember in which McClaren's side gathered 19 points from 21 and outscored their opponents by a huge 18-6 margin. He placed the emphasis on free-flowing attacking play as Derby moved into second place.

foregone conclusion, it'll be announced tomorrow morning and we'll spank lesta tomorrow night.

And the winnder is .....

STEVE McClaren is the first Derby County manager to be named top boss in the Championship in seven years.

McClaren has landed the Sky Bet manager of the month award for December, a month in which Derby won six and drew one of seven games.

The last Rams manager to collect the prize was Billy Davies for January 2007.

“The award says ‘manager of the month’ but I think they should rename it ‘team of the month’ because the players have done tremendously well,” said McClaren.

"To have a December like we did was fantastic and the award is recognition for the great work that has been going on at this football club, not just in the last three months but over recent years.”

Craig Bryson, nominated for player of the month, has missed out on the award.

Not all about who scored the most goals. Drinkwater bosses most games and has been a major reason that we're top.

Yeah he's a class player, no doubt about it. But there is no chance he has performed better than Bryson in December. Both centre mids, Bryson has 5 goals and 1 assist, Drinkwater 1 goal no assists. Bryson helped his team to 6 wins out of 7, Drinkwater helped his team to 3 wins out of 6. Bryson was part of a team who conceded just 6 in 7, Drinkwater was part of a team who conceded 9 in 6, however way you look at it Bryson deserved to win

Fair enough. To be honest I don't think a lot of work goes into these awards. They seem to always mention a performance where the game was on sky.

Yeah good point. Going to be good to watch Bryson v Drinkwater later today, hopefully we can finally get a win at your place  ;)
