Yeah, absolutely. I dare say Ashley will try to get summat on the cheap if he can. No doubt it won’t be as simple as I made out and will take forever again.
On a positive, at least we maybe coming towards the conclusion. No bank holidays upcoming either. The golden share must be at stake soon?
I’m not sure I trust CK. If he’s having difficulty now, how is he going to fund us long term?

I've been on the sofa since the start of May anticipating the takeover confirmation. Bank holiday 3 since the imminent announcement has finished me off

Get em in now. By the time we're done they'll have matured into these beauties.

You do don’t need to be a red dog to keep writing tripe, some people are just self gratifying clowns.

Anyone get the feeling that Chris may have cunningly blindsided Mel on this? When they met in person to discuss the stadium Chris came away saying that there was no movement but talks were ongoing. Then we get the Clowes scoop which was rapidly refuted by the family themselves. Has a stalking horse been deployed?
I'm now half expecting CK to confirm that not only does he own the club, but also PP, lock, stock and barrel. Think the lad may have played a blinder here!

Thank god for Huddersfield, when the chips are down you can trust Yorkshire to step up.

If this ever ends, you could probably publish this thread into a book.
It's an important piece of Derby County history after all.

The EFL will have been involved with the takeover, The EFL would NEVER leave any loopholes they could exploit at a later date

My favourite bit of this is “Now personally I’m not bothered” from a guy who is the dictionary definition of ‘bothered’ by our supposed indiscretions. Looking forward to us moving on in the next few weeks, and the likes of this sad sack still scrabbling around in the debris for something to pin on us. Pathetic.

Same here buddy but I’m sure there will be a charge which will reduce the amount we can spend on other assets. Yes thrilled to death let’s hope all loopholes are covered and we can’t end up in another mess further down the line.

Historic cost , or should we expect Kieran Maguire to understand these things?

Surely the stadium is still worth the same as the previous year until it is sold for less?
-
Gritstone Tup reacted to RAM1966 in The Administration Thread
Not really, there has to be a deadline for the EFL to announce fixtures. If we were ti go pop, the that would mean promotions for other teams and they would need time to make signing to complete etc.
Which is pretty much what Ive been saying gor the last week!!!
I hope you are right B4, but why has CK insisted on the ground being sold or he can pull out?

Although it would be futile to argue against how Bury FC were treated by the efl. I fail to see what connection you’re making with dcfc. We had an owner who seemed to have our best interests at heart for many years but now appears to seek to destroy our club. How could the efl predict this in their fit and proper persons judgement?
-
Gritstone Tup reacted to Oldben in The Administration Thread
I think there's relevance, yet also a mute point.
You have to know which battles to fight.
The efl isn't a winnable battle unless the majority of other league members of the efl association guarantee their support and they will not do so.
Dcfc agreed to abide by the rules of the efl when they became members of the efl association.
Unless dcfc wish to withdraw their membership of the efl, they have to work with and abide by the rules of the efl.
I agree that Derby could have stopped the spurious boro and Wycombe claims, but they didn't.
I say that the efl don't fully support its members and probably needs to change, but aside from a majority vote in favour of dcfc, that's not going to happen.
The efl didn't failed Bury fc and derby fc, but they will not change on their own.

Congratulations to Nigel Clough for getting Mansfield to Wembley. He is still respected by many Rams fans for the team he built us on a tiny budget. If they win it - They could easily bring 5,000 to PP next season. Hope they do it.

“The Reds have seemingly played a blinder here.”
Yeah. Like picking the pocket of a heart attack victim. Opportunism and greed at our expense. What a blinder. Well done, everyone.
