Mel Morris - spent more than was allowed, sold the stadium to try and mask the problem, hired/trusted people who haven't really delivered results (recruitment team, multiple managers, Ince family etc.), made decisions that resulted in lengthy law suits (Rush, Keogh, EFL etc.), utilised an accounting method different to the other 91 Premier League and FL clubs which lead to more problems, dealt with some dodgy people (Gabay, Alonso, the Sheikh etc.), failed with multiple takeover and investment talks, failed to pay wages on multiple occasions, has made decisions that have put us under a transfer embargo on multiple occasions and has the club in the worst state it has been in for many years.

Derby fans - wanted some signings to improve the squad (WITHOUT BREACHING FFP RULES), want to pay less than 30 quid every week for an hour and a half of football and want Mel to hurry up and move on so we can start fresh.

Sorry lads, this one is on us .... our bad

I just want to go back to being on the Popside and throwing fun-size Mars Bars at Gazza.

FWIW I would rather cut off my own arm than either bet against the rams or bet on them being relegated, anyone who does is beneath contempt

Tbh I've often bet against the rams over the years. Putting a tenner here or there for us to lose a big game or for a particularly nobhead ex-player to score against us.

That way if we win, I don't care about the bet. But if we lose or some ******* like Rob Earnshaw actually decides to turn up against us, I get a nice payout to take the edge off.

I hope they don't rush him back. If he can get fully fit he'll still be an asset even if he loses a bit of pace. Maybe he'd have to convert fully to a centre back, but he'd still be the best one at the club.

Unfortunately, after only 2 wins in our first 15/18 games of next season, I can see him being rushed back to salvage someone's managerial career.

Dam right it should have been sorted out before the seasons end

it should have sorted out ages ago

we should have had a January to trade freely not be hampered by a soft embargo

Derby go into a January window needing players to stay up if we had been able to pick up players from the start of it we wouldn’t have left it til the final 24hours when the embargo was lifted to pick up whatever dregs we’re left over

they have a weak case imo

Spot on. EFL were banking on us going down and that our relegation would conveniently draw a line under it all for them. But we didn't, hence this whole clusterf*ck.

  5. I'm thinking the EFL were banking on putting this whole thing to bed a couple of weeks ago if Rotherham knew how to hold onto a lead.

EFL would have dished out a points 'deduction' to an already relegated Rams, we'd have taken the meaningless punishment and that would have been that.

  6. EFL need to take a day off. Season is over, other than the play offs to see who gets relegated from the Premier League next season which no one really gives a sheet about.
