  1. Derby 2-1 Bolton Nelson Plus an excruciating 8 minutes added on were we’re penned in our own half.
  2. Anyone else but Wycombe and I wouldn’t even bat an eyelid. But they’re such a tin pot club and to be profiteering again from another teams demise is sickening.
  3. Yes last night was disappointing. Stevenage should really have got something from the match. Starting to think them having Bolton on the last day of the season isn’t that beneficial. Especially if Bolton can’t get autos. It’ll be the second successive season were a hard match isn’t as hard as it should be because of circumstance. Hope them and Portsmouth draw on sat.
  4. Stevenage have been the better team, should’ve had a penno. But are 1-0 down. Rats.
  5. Exactly this plus I guess Simmo wouldn’t be gutted to see us go up. Just got to hope that they don’t sack him before the end of the season.
  6. Agree they’ve got a mini tough run and they seem to have been injury riddled for most of the season. Think ultimately they’ve got too much of a head start on everyone else not to go up now. Whether we/another can pip them to the title is another question. But ultimately I think all contenders would happily take second place.
  7. Think 92 points will guarantee top 2, think 89 points is the lowest amount of points that may get top 2. Portsmouth I feel have enough credit in the bank to reach the 92 mark. Think Bolton's form, injuries etc are all going against them and I don't think Barnsley will make the charge that we were expecting. Think its a toss up between ourselves and Posh for the other automatic spot as they've hit form, score goals and have quite a nice fixture list.
  8. Don't think CBT can be fairly judged yet. He could well end up being a dud, but to the amateurs eye the signing certainly made sense. No issues with him warming the bench whilst NML and Barkhuizen are playing well. His poor contributions or poor fitness only becomes an issue if NML or Barkz's form drops off. As much as i'm not Warne's biggest fan (on the football front) I do agree that some people are taking cheap pops at CBT to hit Warne with another stick.
  9. How the EFL have been able to sweep their inadequacies under the carpet since our debacle is unbelievable. No doubt another team will find another loophole and exploit it accordingly. The rules need looking at in great detail and tightening up as much as possible. The EFL, PL and FA need to sit down and work together, madness that they're all governing in different ways when we're all on one island.
  10. Watched the last 20 mins of Barnsley v Bolton, Bolton missed a sitter and a one on one. Deserved point I’d say and the best result for us IMO.
  11. Agree 100%, did a predictor today and have Barnsley to win tonight (looking likely). But final standings was; Pompey 95 Derby 92 Barnsley 89 Bolton 89 Think once they have the pressure of being hunted they’ll drop points. Ultimately if we have a good 10 matches we’ll go up.
  12. Hopefully if Martin has anything about him he'll drop a stinker. Their seasons all but over, so he has nothing to gain from putting in a performance against a team whose fans love him.
  13. Draw would be my preference on Tuesday, followed by a Bolton win then Barnsley win. Barnsley’s fixtures are the nicest of the lot and they seem to be playing with a spring in their step. To finish on 93 points we need 8 wins out of 10, think 90 points wouldn’t be enough. Gonna be tough.
  14. Think the true test of Sibley at LWB will come against better teams. But 343 as opposed to 352 is the way to go for me. May as well go down or up hopefully swinging. Also if we have 3 central defenders and Adam’s on the pitch then that’s 4 solid defenders who should be able to carry the bulk of the defensive responsibility. Next weekend should be a better test. But well done Sibs for yesterdays performance.
  15. Don’t understand the moaning for the team. Yes I’d rather not have 5 at the back, but in PW defence, nobody has looked comfortable at right back other than Nyambe. At least it’s 343 and not 352.
  16. Pros: - Nice guy who cares about the club and the people in it. - Has us currently in the hunt for autos, should get play offs minimum. - Most of his defensive signings have been good or average, not poor. - Authentic interviews, doesn’t give the boring PR answers. Cons: - Tactically doesn’t seem switched on. - Forward signings have been in large garbage. - Style of football is boring. - Doesn’t seem to trust or fancy playing the youngsters. - Could miss out on promotion, despite our wage bill being one of the highest and the league being on paper poor. Of course the above are my opinions not facts. But think my list represents a lot of fans thoughts.
  17. Solid keeper for this level as is Vickers, I don't think we're spoilt having both and somehow most of our fans can't see this. I do think Wildsmith hasn't replicated his form from the first half of last season since. Plus his mistake on Tuesday was infuriating, he would've known before he followed through that he wasn't getting the ball, so why not pull up and hope the forward misses the 1 on 1? That said if we actually looked to kill teams off then maybe an error here and there by him wouldn't be as big.
  18. Should play either 4231 or 433 and go for it. But alas we'll play 5 at the back, probably Wilson as RWB if Nyambe is out and it'll be the same old dross. That said i think even with Warne doing as his pleases we'll win this one.
