Should’ve done it that after every cup draw both teams get to say in advance whether or not they want a reply if a draw happens. Two nos and it’s extra time and pennos. One club wants it and I’m afraid a reply it is.

Was thinking about this earlier. If Bolton are winning by 2 or more with 20 minutes to go, assuming we’re drawing against Cambridge, I wouldn’t go uber attacking. If they’re only winning by 1 then I agree to roll the dice and try and steal 3 points. Even with our ‘easier’ match on the final day I’d want at least a 2 goal cushion on goal difference. That said ultimately I think even with a defeat at the weekend we should go up. If we need to score 3/4 against Carlisle then there’s no reason why we can’t.

My only comment about the comparisons with the Reading match was at the time we were on a downward spiral with a defence that leaked goals for fun. Neither are the case this time.

Can't see anything but a Bolton win. Think Shrewsbury had a sweet spot that started around the time they played us and lasted until they're almost safe. Think the battle may have left them. But alas if we mess it up from here then we only have ourselves to blame.

Don't get me wrong the Barnsley kit is honking. However, i'd rather something horrific like that than a boring plain white shirt.

The biggest concern at the moment is that every match seems to be a real battle. I think maybe earlier in the season when the pressure was off, Warne's simple tactics allowed us to win some games with ease. However the last 5/6 have been gruellers. If you have to make an excuse you could point it to Gayle getting injured when we were flying after a 3-0 and 2-1 win respectively. Everything for me is down to how we finish. Promotion? Happy days he's earnt his money and deserves a crack at the championship. Failure? In my book he needs to go. The only two saving graces Warne has is that the players seem to love him and if we brought in someone new, they'd need to assess the squad for a month before starting our transfer business.

Thought you guys played some nice stuff at times. The amount of times the ball got flicked round the corner by one of your two strikers to find another Wycombe man was infuriating. My only issue was the time wasting in the last 10 minutes. I mean come on your seasons dead what’s the point? But can’t complain that a draw was a fair result.

Maybe playing was the wrong term from me, but they won 2-0. We play like poo and have to settle for 0-0. I can’t see us putting Leyton Orient to the sword. Think we might batter Carlisle but that could be a dead match if we don’t buck our ideas up.

Our main issue is that Bolton and Peterborough are playing like teams who deserve to go up. Before people point out posh’s shock result against Carlisle, I’m referring to how many goals they’re scoring. We seem unable to score more than 1 (minus Pompey) in recent weeks. We’re really making hard work of it. Are we running on empty? If we win our last 3 we’d be unlucky to miss out on 92 points but as things stand our momentum has somewhat stalled.

Thought everything was ramping up nicely for him to be the main man for the final few matches. CBT missing that open goal is the worst player it could’ve happened too. As you say, looks a real confidence player. With NML on his back legs and Barkz only just back fit, we really don’t need CBT feeling sorry for himself.

Obviously… But it’s a way of trying to rationalise the disappointment of yesterdays result. Plus Bolton have only won 6 in a row once this season. To do that in October is one thing, to do it when the pressure is in is another.

The risk of having no control worked first half, we created 3 good chances. Second half we needed to change it and to be fair to Warne he did. No footballing intelligence tonight. The only glimpse of it was when Adams bought a free kick on the edge of their area.

I mean including the matches they’ve played.

If Bolton win their last 6 including Portsmouth and Peterborough they deserve to go up. That’s the only positive mind. People moaning at Warne, did he ask for us to miss 3 sitters in the first half? Granted the second half was toothless but we should’ve been out of sight. No bottle whatsoever.

You can only miss so many chances before you get punished. Even if it finishes 0-0 then its advantage Bolton.

He might be playing with painkillers etc. which sort of lets him off the hook. But if he isn’t hampered at all then that finish is tragic.

Can’t wait to tell the grandkids that we bottled promotion because CBT couldn’t score from 6 yards, Washington is repulsed by one on ones and NML temporary thought he was playing rugby.

Shame about Ward but I do think Wash will compliment Collins’ game pretty well. The only area we may be light in is central midfield but with Adams on patrol and doubt any man deficit will be noticed.

If we take 6 points and Bolton beat Pompey i can't lie that'll be deflating. I know 6 points keeps it in our hands, but the sooner Bolton drop points to give us a significant gap the better.

Our bench is a bit threadbare at the moment, if Ward is out then its even weaker. Think for a team that has scored a lot of goals in the last 15, we're ironically looking to score 1/2 before 70 minutes tonight as we don't have many game changers to steal us a result.
