  1. He might be playing with painkillers etc. which sort of lets him off the hook. But if he isn’t hampered at all then that finish is tragic.
  2. Can’t wait to tell the grandkids that we bottled promotion because CBT couldn’t score from 6 yards, Washington is repulsed by one on ones and NML temporary thought he was playing rugby.
  3. Shame about Ward but I do think Wash will compliment Collins’ game pretty well. The only area we may be light in is central midfield but with Adams on patrol and doubt any man deficit will be noticed.
  4. If we take 6 points and Bolton beat Pompey i can't lie that'll be deflating. I know 6 points keeps it in our hands, but the sooner Bolton drop points to give us a significant gap the better.
  5. Our bench is a bit threadbare at the moment, if Ward is out then its even weaker. Think for a team that has scored a lot of goals in the last 15, we're ironically looking to score 1/2 before 70 minutes tonight as we don't have many game changers to steal us a result.
  6. It would offer people like myself more optimism if we controlled matches. Not going to go down the Paul Warne pile on because he’s got us to 2nd playing Warneball. But there hasn’t been many matches this season were I’ve watched us and gone this will be easy. Just as you slip in to a version of comfortable we go and poo the bed like we did against Northampton. Of course I’d rather be in our shoes than Bolton/Posh’s but then again I’d rather be in Portsmouth’s shoes which is pretty much 1 win away from promotion. I do think it will be a bad job if we can’t beat Wycombe with their cup final considered. But knowing Derby like we do, personally I can’t see us winning all 4 which does open the door. Which is were people’s worries like my own come in.
  7. Horrible that all the pressure is back on us. Then we have the unsettling matter of Posh and all their matches in hand so we don’t know whether they’re looking good or not. Personally think Leyton Orient will be tougher than Wycombe. Would feel sick if we missed out on 92/91 points.
  8. 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️ Extra time 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️🕯️ think kids or today call it manifestation.
  9. 3 wins puts us on 91 points which should see us up. But Bolton are starting to turn the heat up and I’ve got a nasty feeling they’ll win their last 3. Need Pompey to do a job on them.
  10. The most important match this next week is Bolton v Portsmouth. If Bolton win that the i think they’ll pip us to the post.
  11. Bristol Rovers need a strong dose of quantuma.
  12. Kangaroo skin boots? Will put a spring in our step at least.
  13. Think it’s becoming more obvious that a super league or rules to benefit the top 6 will be ramped up in the next few years. PL don’t dare go against the big clubs because they want to be ‘the best with the best players’. EFL is that in the mud compared to PL that no PL clubs will want to help out the pyramid and instead will cross their toes and hope they never go down again. Or if they do parachute payments will allow them to go back up. Sad times for the English game.
  14. Agreed, stinks of Barnsley v Posh last season. Just got to make sure going in to the last match we're in the top 2. Carlisle will be on the beach and without accusing anybody of foul play, I imagine Simmo would quite like to see us up.
  15. Agree with all of this. If Posh have nothing to play for then Bolton have struck lucky playing a good team at exactly the right time. Got to hope Bolton don't go on their best run of the season and to be honest if we can't beat Wycombe who will either be hungover or gutted at losing a final with us having a week to prepare then its a bad job. Carlisle is a slam dunk, so just need to win at least one of Leyton Orient or Cambridge.
  16. If we can't get 9 points out of our next 4 matches then we'll only have ourselves to blame. If we do the above and Bolton or Posh etc. go on their best run of the season under the pressures we're all experiencing to pip us to the post then fair play to them. I do think looking on paper Bolton do have quite a kind run in apart from Pompey but they only need to throw in a Northampton like performance and not beat Pompey and its all but over for them. Peterborough are playing two matches a week between now and the end of the season and Barnsley are in last chance saloon with failure to beat Charlton on sat surely putting them to the sword.
  17. Solid point. We can talk about if, buts and maybes but to go to the leaders and match them toe to toe in that weather is some effort. Football is an unpredictable beast but we have 4 winnable matches now. We’d be desperately unlucky for Bolton, Posh and Barnsley not to drop anymore points. Let’s enjoy Saturday off and hopefully a couple of teams do us a favour.
  18. Think it'll be 1-0 Pompey unfortunately. We don't control games and our fire power is pretty much limited to our starting XI so if that gets negated then we don't have anyone to come off the bench and steal us the points. If i was offered a boring 0-0 i'd snap your hands off.
  19. I think the only pessimistic view you can take on Bolton’s run in is that Bristol look on the beach. Pompey could be all but up by the time they play them and posh might have nothing to play for. 90 points will be enough with a hard earned draw on Tuesday being a real bonus.
  20. Morning headline suggestion: Adam’s Ram Olé
  21. Great win. Fought to the end and the results going our way is a bonus. Fully expect a reality check on Tuesday but let’s see how others get on Monday.
  22. We’ll be lucky to get a point against you guys. Need a win tomorrow to keep the dream alive. Then hopefully Tuesday can be a free hit.
