Do you remember when Alonso moved to McLaren and everyone thought it was only a matter of time before he got his 3rd title? He's been good enough consistently enough to have won another title...but there's a lot of things that need to line up to actually win it, so, no, I don't think it's crazy at all that this may be Verstappen's best or only chance to win the championship.

Verstappen is a fantastic driver but I will always want Lewis to win a world championship whilst he keeps driving even if it's boring.

Listening to McLaren the same applies to Derby.  Need players in and a good start to next season....

Can't see that happening Donnyram the club as no direction at all. Any players who do come in will be free transfers and loans.

  3. Your right it's just frustration that our club is so stagnant at the moment not going in any direction and heading to League 1 with the players we have no one interested in running the club etc.

  4. Another thing that makes me sick is Martin bloody Brundle it's obvious he can't stand Lewis and is up Verstappens arse so much, his won 2 races to Lewis's 3 and leads the championship but according to Brundle(Who as a F1 driver achieved nothing) Verstappen is so great and Lewis is yesterday's man. On Sky they hate Lewis winning.

  5. One of the most boring races. Mercedes need to up there game to stay in this championship, Red Bull have upper hand at the moment. Which makes me feel sick saying that. Hate Horner so much.

  6. Bad day yesterday for Lewis Hamilton in qualifying so I think it's damage limitations and try and finish in the top 5 and hope Leclerc can win the race.

Nick Hornby's book Fever Pitch gives a great description of why people love (or loved) football. Paraphrasing, he states that you can go from complete despair to utter joy with one kick of the ball - VAR has taken that away - one kick of the ball, utter joy, the 1-2 (or longer) delay and then back to despair.

Tielemans scores a worldy, but we all have to wait to see if there might have been the vaguest of handballs in the run up to the goal - Chilwell scores against the team he played for (and their pathetic fans that booed him throughout) and his goal is ruled out because in the frame that's chosen to review (with a 5-6 inch margin of error) his knee-cap was offside....football is dying in front of our eyes - may as well stage Playstation tournaments than watch this shallow imitation of the game we loved....

Yes but at the end of the day Chilwell was offside so it was the correct decision. The Linesman should have seen that. So happy Leicester won.

It's happened before, it can happen again,

We may not know how and we may not know when

Five decades ago glory came to my team

For five or more years we were up with the cream!

In two of those years we were top of the pile,

First by a whisker and then by a mile

Beating Benfica and both Madrid teams

Looking back now, how unreal it all seems!

And so all we seventies fans of the Rams

Now say to you young 'uns just out of your prams

Don't get downhearted, don't let sorrow fester

Miracles happen still, just look at Leicester!

I've supported Derby since 1971 and seen some great times and bad but what we are going through now is the worst I've ever seen as a Derby fan, I have become more disillusioned with the club. Another season like last season and I believe my love for the club will just cease to exist and I will probably end up watching local non league football.

  9. I'm really pleased for Leicester play some great football, got some brilliant players and a great manager in Brendan Rodgers, after Derby they've been my favourite team to play and hate Chelsea so perfect result for me. Great for the East Midlands to. It shows the smaller clubs can still win big trophies. Wouldn't it be great if our club was run like Leicester?

  10. Let's just hope it's just a  journalist like Nixon trying to stir trouble by printing this story and nothing comes of it, next seasons going to be hard enough with the shambolic situation were in without a points deduction.

They were only appealing the lesser of the charges they initially accused us of so really don't see this.

I really hope your right sage but you know what the EFL are like.

  12. According to Alan Nixon in today Sun quotes the following Sunsports understands an independent disciplinary appeals is ready to come down in favour of EFL who have refused to accept defeat in the cash row. The charges were dismissed by first independent disciplinary commission in August 2020, but with several clubs angered by the outcome the EFL appealed. Top sources claim the decision had already been taken but was kept secret as Derby fought for championship survival. It then goes on to say that Mel Morris club could be hit with a points deduction next season that runs into double figures. Similar to Sheffield Wednesday this season.

  13. Mel Morris do the honourable thing and get rid of this  charlatan( ALONSO) who obviously is no good for our club. I know you want to sell our club as soon as possible but please think of what you are doing. If possible try and see if Peter Gadsby maybe interested in a local bid, people like the fake sheik and Alonso are making our club the laughing stock of English football.

Do you understand the implications of going into administration?

How do you think MM would benefit from it?

I get the impression Morris couldn't give a damn about the club, when was the last time he showed any interest in the club?
