I've really enjoyed this season, and wouldn't mind if it was extended for a few more weeks.

It'll be bittersweet for me come Saturday.
My lads decided to make a new life for himself, literally on the other side of the earth.
So we'll hopefully be celebrating, but in my mind I'll be thinking it may be the last time we ever stand together at Pride Park, at least for the foreseeable. 
Still, we've had a good run, what better way to sign off than a promotion?

I must be easily pleased, as I'll be celebrating like a mad thing if we clinch promotion on Saturday and right now I couldn't care less about Premier League football.

Just so you know, it ain't cool to bear grudges.  It ain't mature to swear in public.  It ain't uplifting to dwell on previous negatives.  It is not sagacious to disrespect the hierarchy.  
 
But come Saturday, from 90:00 and throughout the additional minutes... with the resuscitated Rams on the verge of a new life... throw all that in the bin, and let's give 'em the rousiest, passionest, Black & Whitest, most heartfeltest rendition of "They docked us 21 points..." British football has ever... EVER... witnessed.

1st of July.. when the commentary got to that bit, I welled up. Not ashamed of it. Just shows how much a part of me DCFC has been since my first game back in 1961. I don't think I'll be the only one to feel that emotion.

I can’t believe ‘the best footballing side in the division’ have rested 6-7 players and effectively given up on automatic promotion when it’s still a mathematical possibility.

I’d be livid if our manager threw in the towel like that.

Sometimes football can bite ya on ya bum...Peterborough 1 Carlisle 3, Ferguson said every one of his players scores 3 for performance, I expect a win, No if's, Ands or buts, We have the squad to win no doubt about it, History is what it is...in the past, Only we remember Derby 0 Carlisle 0 or Derby 0 Reading 3.
This is "only Derby can fcuk it up"...nope a win, So much so...I've bailed from sleepy Belper...to go on the lash in Town, Gonna be some sore heads come Sunday.

The fact that he is going is irrelevant. We should be playing the best team available that suits the situation.

This week is dragging already.

Unless it`s a team we have bad history with, then seeing them get promoted, even during such an awful season for us, is
something I`d be happy for them if it happened. Derby have been down in L1 a while now, and if they go up, they`ll have
earnt it, and their fans will be ecstatic after the match.

Which means they`re less likely to want to beat any of us up, and any of ours who are in Derby afterwards, would probably
have a great time enjoying the celebrations with them, into the night, and might not even have to pay for drinks !

I like this side of football, when 2 sets of fans can come together, and just enjoy the game, and those special moments.

I really can't understand why people feel bitterness towards another club simply because they've done well and have got promoted?
I met a few Derby fans in 'Spoons' before our home clash with them earlier this season, and they were as sound as a pound, even taking the 'Mickey' out of a mate of mine because he is Scottish (nowt wrong with that, is there ??)
If we had some sort of rivalry with them then fair enough, but ............'DERBY COUNTY!!!!!!!!', they couldn't even beat us when they won the 1st Div (Premier League) title all those years ago. 
Anyway, we're stopping in Derby over the weekend, so looking forward to sinking a few pints with them afterwards.

I'll be thinking of B4 - I'm pretty sure he's had a word with the big man...

I have 3 promotions under my belt and this will be the first one where i haven't been there in the ground when it happens (assuming it happens - too superstitious to count my chickens). But if it happens on Saturday, I will savour it every bit as much as the others - regardless of the division, its a huge achievement. it was when Arthur Cox's side did it and it will be again when Paul Warnes side do it.
