I didnt think orthopaedic shoes would help me, but I stand corrected.

Communal effort tonight.
Meatballs from Ikea, Sue heated the water for the pasta and grated the Parmesan, and I made a beef chilli sauce to give the meatballs their finishing bake.
All washed down with a cup of milky Assam tea.

I wasn't sure. The next on the 'played test cricket in 2020' list is Nathan Lyon, and he's only on 390, so it will be a long time until anyone else gets close to 500, if it ever happens again.
Anderson and Broad have been utterly phenomenal.

Interesting that Kraigg Brathwaite was both Broad's and Jimmy Anderson's 500th victim.
Dale Steyn is on 439 at the moment, so my advice to Kraigg would be to avoid South Africa in a couple of years.

Roast Dorset rib of beef, cooked medium, served with home grown Mediterranean style vegetables (apart from the red peppers, mine aren’t ripe yet) with horseradish sauce, all washed down with a glass of Malbec.

Dorset ribeye, on a bed of own grown ratatouille, with a Saint Agur, shiitake mushroom and white sherry jus, all washed down with a glass of Grand Reserva Rioja Tinto.

How sweet to be an Idiot
As harmless as a cloud
Too small to hide the sun
Almost poking fun
At the warm but insecure untidy crowd
How sweet to be an idiot
And dip my brain in joy
Children laughing at my back
With no fear of attack
As much retaliation as a toy
How sweet to be an idiot, how sweet
I tiptoe down the street
Smile at everyone I meet
But suddenly a scream
Smashes through my dream
Fie fye foe fum
I smell the blood of an asylum
(Blood of an asylum
But mother I play so beautifully, listen. ha ha)
Fie fye foe fum
I smell the blood of the asylum
Hey you, you're such a pedant
You got as much brain as a dead ant
As much imagination as a caravan site
But I still love you, still love you
Oh how sweet to be an idiot
How sweet. how sweet. How sweet

When someone you love dearly goes and dies and you cannot find a single photo of you together as she spent the 44yrs you knew her refusing to have her photo taken. (My aunt ?)

We saw him at Derby a couple of years ago. He made an impact. In fact, when he dived to take a catch, he made an impact crater.

Nice to see that the West Indies have selected Rakheem Cornwall for the third test.
He is a big spinner in both senses of the word.

The Truman Show.
I have probably seen this masterpiece a dozen times, and it's still simply wonderful.
10/10 - one of my 3 or 4 all-time favourites.
