Yes was on about them cheating their way to promotion twice , first time when they went bust. 

Yes, I've had many business dealings with Russians, and a couple with Chinese business people and one job with the Chinese Government, and I found each extremely fair and honest, while driving hard bargains. The Americans lied, often to cover their own asses, didn't stick to agreements and were worse than Arab Clients  for paying their bills. Of course, that's just my experience, but it's coloured my views of Americans in business - but  I've heard similar from others. It seems to be their culture, but I don't have to like or tolerate it.

If you look for info on Luton's finances - who we should aim to be like according to one poster - then their current losses are down to 'huge' promotion bonuses. It all goes on still.

In December 1982 a world record attempt was made.  For 14 days straight local bands played one after the other in what was termed a marathon concert.  The minimum stage time for any performers was 6 hours, broken into 45 minutes on stage with a 5 minute rest and go again before the 5 minutes were up.  A friend of mine and my job was to keep everyone supplied with whatever needed, cords, food, instruments, etc and to make sure that bands kept to the 5 minute rule.
One night from midnight to 6am Tappi Tíkarrass played on the small stage in the cellar.  I had heard them before, but this became a private concert, I was the only attendee.  They kept to the rules, ignored me seated on the sofa and pounded through their program of what seemed like over a hundred songs, many I had not heard before or after.

Yep. And if we want to compete at a higher level then now is the right time to find investment, whilst we still have things to offer that other Championship or League 1 clubs don't. Memories aren't necessarily long in football - see the Lionel Pickering thread for our own fans remembering ability. I did, Hartlepool away in the FA Cup around Oct/Nov time, Their pitch was worse than the BBG, Coop came off the pitch cleaner than when he ran out of their tunnel at the start of the game...an absolute turd of a player for DCFC 🙄
