Indeed, so the bidders have 3 options. Pay enough for the club to avoid a 15 point deduction. Buy the club for as little as possible and get a 15 point deduction for failing to meet the rules of exiting administration without receiving a 15 point deduction, or lastly, keep your money in your pocket and walk away.

Think the bidders are part of the problem in itself, they don't want to offer over a certain amount to avoid us being hit by a further 15 point sanction which in turn makes us even less of an attractive proposition.

What if the statement is factually correct though?

Don't you see though how the new owners are inextricably linked to the outcome of point 2?
If the prospective bidders won't offer enough for the club to satisfy the EFL rules on creditors then yes they automatically will be aware that the club they are bidding for will be subject to a further 15 point sanction.
Which probably means that the prospective bidders don't think that the club is worth that much to them to avoid this.

If we find ourselves in League 1 how many of the out of contract players including the youngsters are going to stick around with a 15 point deduction to overcome, perhaps the bidders have wanted to possibly know how many may be willing to re-sign before committing.
Even Ashley won't be interested if it includes a 15 point deduction next season and no team.

No-one on this forum knows what the magical points tally to reach this year will be neither be able to predict the outcome of our next game never mind our relegation rivals.
A lot of it is speculation to fill the void of having anything else tangible to discuss regards updates on our alleged takeover which seems to be at the end of the rainbow atm.

It does make me chuckle to purposely pull someone up for making factually incorrect statements when this forum is littered with subjective opinion and ITK bullpoo.
You'd be a very busy man if you were applying that rigour to all of the other posts which fell under that umbrella.

Very good post in many respects and there is a lot I'd agree with there. But I can't agree that Putin is not a despot. If he is not then I don't know what a despot is.
Look at how he came to power in Russia, how he has enriched himself (he is a billionaire on a government salary) and his friends. Look at the grip he has on internal security in Russia, the unrelenting propaganda machine that is the Russian state media and the ridiculous sham elections where he picks the candidates. What happens to his political opponents? Yes he has his supporters and many of the older generation like his style of 'strong' leadership. But Is it safe for anyone to criticize Putin in Russia? I'd say Putin is the archetypal despot.

They're in the impossible situation of trying to please all the people all of the time. If they don't give any deadlines then folks will moan like drains, if they do and they deadlines pass due to circumstances beyond their control then folks will also moan like drains.
Not sure what you expect of them? If you want to slag them off then do that to Mel Morris by proxy.

It was quoted on the news reports last night that he had loaned them £1.5BN but the change or stewardship wouldn't see him demanding his money back - suggests to me that he's funded them though loans rather than donations....

You can't polish the turd which Morris left for the administrators to try and make an attractive proposition for prospective buyers to come in and throw their money at.
Not sure how you attribute this as a failing of the admins.

Didn’t we expect Rooney to do this? Bringing in advertising , players , shirt sales etc. That’s why he is the top paid manager in the league. Or was it another misjudgement by Mel?
