I'm no fan of the EFL but in my opinion they NEEDED us to be relegated as a showpiece to deter other clubs from gambling, going bust and then going into admin to wipe the slate clean.
I think I posted this (on page 25 or thereabouts) but our problem was being too good in Nov and Dec which meant further impediments and barriers to weaken the squad (Jags, Shinnie)  and prevent a takeover (Steve Stevie Stephen and Couhig's claims 'having to be resolved').
It's plausible that if we'd been 30 points adrift by Dec and effectively down, then a takeover may have magically happened - we'll never know.
Now that our relegation has been accomplished I'm not sure they want to saddle us with further points deductions - but even if we're in league 2 the season after next I'll be there, season ticket in hand and happy to watch.

Owners don't need to be a die hard fan but of course owners are fans of the club but about as much as most current players, managers and coaches, that's ok.
I accept (for the most part) owning a football club is to make money, this is why I'm sure they've looked at the books and the cost of paying debts or accepting -15 points and which makes the most financial sense. I'd imagine playing debts is cheaper as the revenue is not there in League 1 and 2, the longer we're there the worse it will be.
This is why I think MA or anyone else saying they'll accept the -15 is media scaremongering.

Totally agree. This talk of getting a -15 points deduction and still being in contention for the play offs as things stand is plain fantasy......we would struggle to stay up.....

Exactly, MA is a businessman first and foremost. He wants to make money and having two seasons in League One or worse a season in League 1 and then another in League 2 is not good for business there is no money in these leagues. Hell, there is barely any money in the Championship but at least there is a bit more TV money.

Mel Morris apparently had passion for our club look how that turned out, giving players b*llockings at half time and administration.
Mike Ashley is passionate about money and success is the only way to make it in this game.

I tend to agree, whether this goes through or not CK would have spent hundreds of thousands potentially millions on the deal at this point.
What would be the reason for this? There is no gain.
Will CK be the new owner? No idea but I am certain if he isn't it's from some other reason out of his control.

So according to Alan Nixon we are still waiting for CKs transfer to be cleared by money laundering  people .
He has had to send it twice .
Ed Dawes yesterday reported that deal was about to collapse and CK was to lose his exclusivity.
It seemed later in the evening that clearance had been done.
CK didn’t speak when being doorstepped on leaving the 18th green other than saying no comment and it will all come out or something like that as he walked away.
To be honest it’s all rather tedious now .
CK and us fans can only wait for money clearance and if that doesn’t happen CK will lose money he has already spent on lawyers etc .
We are all waiting to see what happens still

In fairness, whether we agree with what’s he’s saying, he’s actually started the ball rolling this morning and forced a few into gear. We’ve found out more this morning than we have in the last 10 days!

Watching the news and it seems to be a growing trend. Something that used to be a way to celebrate with the players and a release of emotion seems to going down an ugly route of violence, selfies and flares...
All have happened in the past couple of days from a pitch invasion:
The Forest fan head butting Billy Sharp. Port Vale fans surround Swindon players (punches thrown). A Everton fan taunting Patrick Viera causing a reaction. Luton players, coaching staff and fans were goaded and abused by Huddersfield fans. West Brom fans taunt Wolves after beating them in U23 PL Cup Final. I actually don't want this tradition to end but something needs to be addressed. I feel it genuinely needs to be a reason for it, promotion for example. Avoiding relegation or simply it's the last home game of the season should not be an reason for a pitch invasion.
What are your thoughts, should this end with club punishments or don't let a few bad eggs spoil an otherwise happy occasion?

Agreed, if you're an attacking player (or any player tbh) why wouldn't you want to train and learn under England's greatest all-time goal scorer.
