Am off to this one as it's the day before my birthday. Hope to see a similar performance to what was served up against Bristol City. I'd drop Laing just because of international duty and use him for the last 30 to give us a bit of pace in behind late on. I'm quite excited given how we played in the last game against Bristol. COYR

I'd definitely recommend reading the looming towers by Lawrence Wright. It's an excellent write up on the operational and organisational failures of the US which allowed the attack to take place.

Yeah the tv show was really good too tbf! 🙂 Pretty much and simply put the US had all the pieces of the puzzle but turf wars and a bit of complacency allowed the attack to happen. It's also worth remembering that the attack could have been a lot worse. Al-Qaeda also targetted the White House and the houses of Congress but were fortunately foiled on the latter two.

If you believe 9/11 was anything other than a terrorist attack, you should have the right to vote taken away, and be put on a national register.

I know too and it wouldn't be in Saudi with blood money.

A random one but did anyone else notice Jason knight start to head towards the north stand to clap them before he’d gone over to the Bristol city fans and Naki Wells stopped him and very clearly told him to go clap Bristol City first so he very quickly turned around and headed back down the pitch.

Reminded me when Matt Oakley came back with Leicester and got subbed off and he turned straight to the north stand to clap and the Leicester fans lost their s*** 😂.

Something special happening this season. I've not had this feeling in about 10 years since the peak of the mclaren era.

Epitomised by JWZ running the length of the pitch to celebrate the 3rd goal.

SO refreshing to see the right players in the right roles and having trust that they'll do their job.

Gonna get an Ozoh shirt this year. Not seen a player shrug off the opposition like that in my 20 years of watching Derby. Sensational.

Pinched from the Bristol forum……………. just after we’d gone 3-0 up.
This Derby side is absolutely awful as well and this isn't being bitter either, player for player we're better

Talking to a fella on the bus back home after the Belper game, His words..."it's the best he's seen at home since PW has been here" quite a plaudit I said, He couldn't give a MOTM as he said all were great.
Even PW admits it was some 2nd half  yeh I know it's Pep but they look alike 😉

One of my favourite games of the past 5 years...
Unbelievable atmosphere, total effort for the the entire team and not a bad performance any member of the squad.
Plus,we played some great, intricate football combined with power and energy.
My motm?....kenzo,he epitomised this new squad in his commitment, passion and never say die attitude.
Great afternoons football and I'm now off for a curry, wonderful.

Well well well… that’s a blueprint. There’s a lot analyse there but fundamentally, we rode our luck early on but really grew into after we scored and realised we didn’t need to be quite so afraid. The confidence started to come.
The fans got loud second half, then we seemed to score shortly afterward. After that, you could visibly see the Bristol players lose their arse. They went to bits for 10 minutes in which we really should’ve scored a 3rd in that period. Huge credit to the pressure the fans put on and our players for riding with it.
    Great performance, great win.

Ozoh was a beast today, he will only get better too with the more experience he gets.

If you didn’t enjoy that, just give up on football.
    Cash - welcome back.
Ozoh was an absolute beast today. He’s learned very quickly how to shield the ball. First game he lost it a lot: today no-one took it off him.
Goudmijn - no doubting his quality but I had worried he might not be strong enough or consistent enough. That worry has gone. Look at the replay for how annoyed he was for missing that chance, but he still had the nerve and composure to have another go.
    Yates was full of tricks.
Jackson real end to end. Remember when we thought Knight had an engine? He looked very pedestrian in comparison.

That’s what I want from my team. Work hard for each other, plenty of quality, and resolute. Well done Paul Warne for pulling that together

What a performance. Can't see a fault in one single player.
    Elder. My MOTM. Unplayable.
JWZ. Wow. My fave GK since Poom. And a nutcase.
Bristol City. What a boring club. And they stole our Knighty chant. And agent Bird. Cheers mate.

    Unbelievable display.
Also to the man in the south stand who took one of the flags off the pole and ran out with it up their top, youre a clown and do the decent thing and hand it back to the club.

finished Stoneyard Devotional by charlotte wood, one of the favourites for the Booker, and it was beautiful. Highly recommend a read! Just started Mark Haddon's new series of short stories, his first release for some years following his heart attack and long covid. Hope they live up to his last great work!

Also read metapolitics by Alan Badiou which I'd recommend avoiding and why read mill today by John Skorupski which was a delightful short work for experts and layman alike.

You obviously weren't at Blackburn then. Like I'm fine with serious criticism but this is simply hyperbole. I think even against Middlesbrough when we did get forward we looked threatening and caused them issues before we scored. We didn't do that often but Warne himself said this wouldn't be a template for the season. I do think we need to be a bit more adventurous against Bristol but from the 2 league games I've seen I'm not so concerned right now.

In the league we've played 3 really good teams two of which are in the top 3 right now. If we play like we did against Middlesbrough against teams 14th and 15th in the table then we'll be in big trouble. For what it's worth I don't think we will.

He's so anal about being fair he's shifted losses from the club onto his other businesses to skate around the rules.... The man's a hypocrite and a parasite.

Mel Morris was already out of the club as we were in administration. Gibson acted as a leech sucking the blood out of a dying body. He had absolutely nothing to do with getting rid of Mel so you can take that out of your argument.

While some chants are not representative of the club's fan base the mass defending by your lot of such a bloke says everything about Middlesbrough's fans in my eyes. Suffice to say if you lot ever fall foul of the FFP or face extinction again I won't be shedding a single tear about it.
