You beat me to it. Reading the last page or so of this thread made me immediately think of The Peter Principle. At present he is doing well and has a history of getting promotions. He has also been relegated a few times but in some cases there were extenuating circumstances and his previous club were happy to keep employing him.
No one knows (probably not even himself) what he is capable of or what levels he can attain. He strikes me as an intelligent chap and he will know the challenges which lie ahead, should we get promoted. In my opinion he should be given every chance to succeed and only if it becomes apparent that he is out of his depth should he be replaced.
Not comparing him to Brian Clough at all but Brian was managing Hartlepool (not very well) when we appointed him. We didn’t improve the first season he was here but got promotion the following year. No one knew at the time how good he would be, he didn’t show it in the first year here.
Let’s give him the opportunity to succeed.

I make no secret of the fact that I like warne , in fact I like warne and clowes as the team/ figurehead s of our club , there’s an honesty, integrity, decency and stability that is really refreshing after the last few years , I then put that alongside the fact that we are getting results and challenging for promotion and I like it , im not unhappy that we are next to top scorer’s in the league we are in because watching derby is not dependent on how we go about being next to top scorers , I then put that together with the fact we are not leaky as a holed bucket so have the best goal difference and when I weigh it all up I’m pretty happy with how we are progressing from a dire position , some are not happy in fact some are very unhappy, fair play to them that’s how they see it , my opinion won’t change a thing in they’re thinking , I don’t really get it but it’s clear they don’t get where I’m coming from on it 🤷🏻‍♂️

You're missing the point, how can you judge him against something that has proven to be very difficult, where managers like Steve M have already spectacularly failed, with much bigger resources.

I think you are right. I suppose we have to remember how long Ipswich and Sunderland - and others - took to get out of this division. IF we get promotion this year, getting out in two seasons from the position we were in would be very good going

How many times have you sat at a keyboard and typed this nonsense out? You are bashing your head against a brick wall.
If promoted the aim will be consolidation and who is to say Warne will not be able to deliver that? The owner will have a far more realistic perspective than you.

Our problem is that our home fans - absolutely rightly - would not be happy with 30% possession at home in a third division game

Lets stick to facts. The games against  our top 6 rivals MAY settle our fate. We could lose them all and still end up top two, as there are so many other games for the teams involved. 
Your steady dripping of poison is very tedious and bears no relation to the results/points we are currently achieving.
