That might not bother them £30M is hardly anything to them and they could be wanting to prove a point as to why they altered the rules,a warning shot to other clubs to pay up or end up like DCFC. To the men in the ministry we are just some football club in the midlands who we owe money to.

I know we are not going to pay 100% but i think to prove a point that HMRC won't accept 25% but will accept somewhere around the 35-40% mark, they can then say the preferred creditor status works and they have got more money than they would have previously.

I still think HMRC will be the stumbling block. NIC rise in April and the Chancellor today has ordered HMRC to inform every company to print on payslips the rise is to pay for the NHS. I can't see them accepting 25% and i think certain people in government are watching developments closely as they won't want to be seen raising NI then letting the club pay only a % of the amount owed as politicians and the general public will start asking questions.

well the £20m matches the principal amout of the MSD loan (ignoring the loan they later made to the admins). The Q statements as I read them indicate he is just looking to cover the liability and (if I recall) Couhig's ramblings seem to reflect this as well. And it seems doubtful HMRC would accept a sale that resulted in them writing down their claim if it also involved consideration being paid to the ultimate shareholder. So no I'm not sure but I think it's highly likely

No matter what we hope will happen fans don't stand a chance of getting football "business" changed. It is a business not a sport anymore or more like a sport in name only. There will be a lot of talk and proposals to do this and that making it look as if an effort is being made but while fans keep forking out for season tickets, match day tickets, club merch etc nothing will happen.People keep moaning about how fans are being treated but they keep turning up week after week.
Yes, you are going to reply with we support the team, that doesn't matter to owners/directors,while fans are doing that they will seem no need to change anything.

I know what you are saying here, I mean the bit in bold, but the legal reality is they will be doing neither of those two things. They have to accurately present the position of the Club, warts and all. To be anything but totally honest and transparent would leave them potentially open to being sued by the buyer.

I remember when we first went into administration that lots of Wigan fans felt sorry for us and that our naive optimism would be severely tested. They pointed out that administration is a series of disappointments and false dawns as the professional optimism of the administrators is constantly shown up as complete rubbish by events.
I probably didn't quite appreciate it at the time, but it's so true. I think the point that many of us have missed is that the administrators are basically second hand car salesmen trying to shift that 2017 Vectra with 320k miles on the clock and dodgy weld lines across the floor. It's their job exaggerate the positives and gloss over the negatives.
Until the day we exit administration, things will be worse than Quantuma are saying.

Andronikou was at Portsmouth. And according to a very straight insolvency professional of my acquaintance, it was the model of how you should not do a football administration.

2018? Please also post the upheld official complaints to their regulatory body the results and actions of which should be public? Disciplinary results are the most exciting part of most financial news websites! Generally on appointing any sort of professional firm the last place you would look would be trustpilot especially for a transaction as large and complicated as this. Their communications to fans are rubbish but they're not working for us. Cant even begin to imagine the ?they have had to deal with all in a high profile public window with the most incompetent organisation in the country trying to block or delay every move. Not saying they're great but cant really tell until all comes out in the wash.

For everyone crying about the EFL, they're not wrong. Heck it ain't even the administrators that's the issue here.
The club and all the dodgy dealings Mel has seemingly done is the problem and the administrators are trying to unravel it all.
I said from day 1 that when Mel sold the stadium to himself that I thought was a dodgy thing to be doing (I would have proof if the forum didn't delete my every post that said my thoughts on the matter). The bloke has well and truly ducked us.
The problem was Mel and no one else. Stop trying to play the victim from the EFL.

Honestly some of the hysteria on twitter in ridiculous. Q are licensed insolvency professionals, there will be rationale for their approach. This has been a common theme all the way through the process, we blame the admins and then we realise they are simply doing their jobs. The idea that Andrew Hosking is sat in an office somewhere pressing 'hang up' on his phone every time the EFL call is complete nonsense, they are clearly extremely busy with something at the moment.

That’s the kind of attitude that’s got us in this mess in the first place. It must be Derbyshire hubris because it makes no sense to me and only galvanises my feelings that MM is pulling the admins strings.

I think the EFL are utterly deplorable and not fit for purpose as much as the next person, but they’ve got a point here.
They agreed a deadline with the Administrators, which was also an extension to an original deadline. Sorry but they are more than within their rights to be a bit miffed that the Admins aren’t answering calls or emails and have provided no update, that deadline has now passed.
Weeks ago, the EFL (quite rightly) had enormous pressure and fingers pointed at it  nationally to start taking action and support the club in finding a buyer.
Now they’re chasing the Admins for updates for just that, people are chastising them for getting involved, they can’t win.

This is deal to purchase a football club. There will be lots of particulars that need sorting out and there will no doubt be some caveats which require clarity. The administrators have to do the due diligence to make sure all the particulars are covered in the bids and that it is likely to meet the requirements of the creditors. There could be some leverage on Mel here as well, for example Mike Ashley may well be making a higher offer that would be better for creditors but a caveat could be Mel takes a haircut on the stadium. It is not a simple here’s what I’m paying make a decision in 30 minutes.
As @duncanjwithamsays we need this preferred bidder to be the right one, we can’t go through 4 like Wigan did. The way Quantuma has conducted the process by keeping it open for so long has been to (hopefully) ensure we select the right one that satisfies all stakeholders. We could’ve selected Kirchner in November and that falls on its arse, likewise Appleby in Jan and then be on our third and having the perception of two failed bids would further reduce leverage in the negotiations.
The only thing Quantuma are guilty of IMO is the communication at times and potentially being over optimistic at the outset. No issue with how they’ve run the process and who are we to really question it.

Whether there is or isn't a conspiracy (there isn't, they're just wildly inconsistent or incompetent), it does us no favours for Rooney to be openly questioning it in interviews imo. It doesn't reflect well and comes across as a bit desperate.
We lost last night because of a lack of magic and experience in our squad. We got into numerous good setups around their box, but almost always tried to take on one man too many, picked the wrong pass or missed good runs. You could see it in the frustration of Morrison and CKR when the likes of Ebosele and Plange got it wrong. That's part of having a team of inexperienced but talented youngsters though - they need space and time to make mistakes and learn from them.
