Exactly. And it’s not just loss of revenue. Some players could possibly stay with us for next season… but if you tell them next season we get another points penalty I think possibly all players and the manager will decide they have had enough of that. This season has tested the patience of players enough brilliant though they have been.

Wayne could buy the club for £50M if he wanted to i suppose but even he can probably see it's not worth it.

We have, So why havn't they come forward?, The days of Vanity projects are over imo...unless you're not right in the head, So rich £50million is chump change, Or you believe in the very long term of pi$$ing money down the drain, This is not a pop at anyone in particular, Certainly not at those who are still after the PB status, £50m is the starting point, If we're bought and start on -15 next season...what's the cost going to be...don't answer that Pete as we don't know?♂️

Only £1000 per fan, Cost of living rising daily, Covid still with us, Interest rates rising, Fuel at £7.50 per gallon, Food prices up, Gas/Electric prices going into orbit, Easy to put into words, A little more difficult in practise ?♂️

Nothing on the DCFC site or the Quantuma site. But from the snippets it seems clear no one is willing to pay what the administrators require for what will almost certainly be a League One club with very few players next season. If that weren't the case we'd already be out of this mess by now and moving on.
The best thing we can do is to win the next five games to give any potential buyers more confidence to come in with bigger bids now :)

Absolutely. The Administrators have marketed the club to all and sundry but if the hole left to fill is just too big, that is not their fault.
I think they are giving it their very best shot to find a way out that leaves the Club in the best position possible - which in turn will result in the best outcome for creditors - and only when that process is absolutely exhausted will they go to plan B and take what they can. Given that it would appear the Club has sufficient funds to play out the season, they will probably feel they still have time to keep searching. Or perhaps more accurately, arm twisting current interested parties to get above the viability line.

Or could it be that getting higher - workable even - bids from the interested parties is proving impossible?
Simply because the debts are too high and the potential value isn't as high - especially in the current climate - as we would all like to think.

As it is a "community asset" it could be turned into One big allotment.

Why would it be tainted if it was developed for another use?
If a developer saw an opportunity I doubt very much they’d hold back simply because of the history of ground.

Nothing.
No one would want it .
It would be tainted

I am not saying liquidation proceeds could be greater than £28M.
The £28M may not be enough to meet the administrators requirements to sell the club. The administrators have legal professional rules to adhere to otherwise they would be in open to investigation by their governing body.

I certainly know what liquidation means and entails. If there is basically nothing to liquidate at the end of the season that equally means there is basically nothing to buy. Unfortunately we don't have a given right to survive and i am not the one bed wetting. The ones seem bed wetting are the ones hoping the creditors will accept what they are offered.

Lawrence is a footballer controlled like all of them by an agent, you couldn’t offer him a contract on what he’s currently earning as you can’t afford it, no way will his agent allow him to take a pay cut of the extremes he would have to to fit into what will be your new wage structure.

The Binnies bid included the stadium, which we believe will cost £20m. That leaves only 10m to the creditors

How do you know it would have been enough for the creditors, they are not going to roll over and accept any amount offered then the new owners rub their noses in it by bringing in new players and increasing the wage budget. Creditors will not be bothered whether the club survives or not.

atherstoneram reacted to angieram in The Administration Thread
The administrators said yesterday that they were negotiating with bidders (plural.) The first known result of that negotiation is that the Binnies have declined to go any further than a modest increase on their original bid, which is really a decrease as it now includes the stadium.
Other bidder/s may do likewise or they may make a better offer. We may or may not be able to exit administration without a further points deduction. It's a complex situation.
It's frustrating. The fans are frustrated, the management and staff are frustrated, the EFL are frustrated. I suspect the administrators and the EFL are frustrated too.
I'm not sure pointing fingers in any particular direction at this stage helps anyone.

Also a preferred bidder is not a buyer, it just gives them a chance to kick the tyres for a fixed period of time, we should be fixated on a buyer.

Doesn't matter how many attempts you make if your offers aren't good enough.

Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick, but your contention seemed to be that HMRC must have agreed a reduced repayment or we couldn't name a preferred bidder.
