  1. Watching NML closely…. Not 100% himself ??? Decided not to take on the full back when one-on-one and then opted out of a 50/50 challenge…. Wonder if he’s still worrying re his hamstring ????

Wilson not on his game yet either…

Wish we would calm things down a bit and play controlled football…. Feel they are there for the taking but we don’t need to take risks at the back…

Awful pass from Washington, has to be to be in the floor but also even worse finish from CBT. Good start but need a goal.

To be fair to CBT I’m not sure the pass was the easiest to deal with… would like to see that back.

    Game too open.

    Well here's a first. We're in complete agreement 😂

Hopefully we crack on early doors though as there'll be some frayed nerves if it's still goalless at the 65 minute mark, not least my own!

👍 No doubt an early goal is what we really need to settle nerves…

Does anyone know if Adams finishes his Ramadan fasting today?

It's been a bloody good effort from him given his form and whilst I guess you'd adapt to it I still can't help but think of exercise (let alone professional sports) without water and some calories as borderline impossible.

It was supposed to finish yesterday…

A Yank in the ranks of officialdom. Hmmm.
Matt Donohue reffed East Anglia Derby on Sat I thought he was outstanding, one of best games I’ve seen a ref have this season. I’ll look out for him! This fella, like many, I’ve never heard of. Hope he can grow a pair for Wicked Wanderers tactics.

If the MLS is anything to go by then he will make it a ‘no contact’’ sport/game… not sure who that benefits most, but Ebou needs to be careful when getting stuck in…

I watched the game and the first half certainly wasn't played at any real pace, but they players will still have less energy than they would have. We need to play smart and stretch the game, but do so without forcing it. If we move the ball around and guard it well enough, they will tire from the 60 minute mark. Bravado aside, it's a nothing game for them, after all. Their race is run.

If there’s an advantage it will be late in the game, so if it’s still 0-0 at about 65 mins I expect us to really push on. Even with substitutions they will be susceptible to attacks at pace. For this reason I don’t want to see PW taking CBT or Nat off around that time (unless we are 2-0 up or more of course).

And we responded by beating Blackpool and drawing away to Pompey unfortunate not to win. We lost back to back games in Feb, we responded by winning 4 in a row. In adversity the team generally delivers, even in the Northampton game despite being awful we still should’ve won. Bolton were battered by Bristol by all accounts but managed to win, we destroyed Bristol when we played them.

We’ve got the tools and are playing well enough to get the wins to get the job done regardless of what Bolton do.

Also didn’t vale go and beat Barnsley at their place recently? Drew away with Wigan and we’re unfortunate not to win. They’re in a scrap for survival and are picking up form who is to say Bolton won’t drop points against them. Derby are no more or less likely to drop points than Bolton and we’re net second with 4 games left. As others have said you’d have bitten your hand off for this position back in October when we lost to Stevenage.

    It’s time to believe.

Not gonna disagree with your points and analysis 😎👍 Except, I honestly believe we are more likely to lose games than Bolton. Doesn’t mean we won’t win all four … just that I see us either winning or losing( PW’s mantra) games rather than drawing. Whereas Bolton on an off day will draw. Just my feeling at the moment.

How that transpires and what it means to the overall position at the end of the season I really don’t know 😂

Just a massive week for us- we win at Wycombe and Bolton don’t win against Pompey then I think we should be ok. 👌

Wycombe got what they deserved. 10 men behind the ball all game until Posh score, then suddenly they remember they're in a game. Posh weren't great, not by a stretch, but they at least tried to play some football. Wycombe will approach our game the same. They'll sit deep and wait for us to cough up the ball in bad areas. They created absolutely nothing all game.

Exactly what we will have to face next game. Man, we need an early goal and/or a stroke of luck ..

Pompey fan in peace, I personally think you boys will win all your remaining games from what I saw the other night you have enough to do it and you won’t need to sit back like you did in the second half. I personally like Paul Warne he comes across as an honest guy not like that arrogant Ian Evatt really praying that they stay down. Wycombe losing today was your best result but they are no great shakes. I was worried when we went there on Good Friday as they were on a bit of a run but we won comfortably. Teams that  play on the front foot against us we usually beat as we did against Peterborough the previous week who also were on a run of 5 straight wins. Teams that park the bus we struggle to break down like Shrewsbury yesterday we huffed and puffed all game and were fortunate to come away with 3 points. Most of us still are not taking it as given that we are going up, lose to Bolton then we have Barnsley on the Tuesday lose that and it will be twitchy bum time definitely do not want to go to Lincoln on the last day needing 3 points. Anything can happen this Saturday against Bolton but we won comfortably at Fratton 3-1 so it would be good to win that will give us 2 home games to seal the Championship. Anyway good luck Derby are to big a club like us to be stuck in Div 1.

Fair play to Pompey- u guys have been (one small wobble aside) the most consistent team all season and deserve to go up. Your Jan spending/recruitment was good and has paid dividends. It’s not about playing nice football in this league- it’s just about winning games and escaping to the Championship. You guys have done that well.

What am I reading? I know we've all been through some right bottle jobs following Derby, but come on.

    Barnsley ruled themselves out yesterday.

Peterborough have a horrifc run of games in 21 days and rely on a high energy game.

Bolton really struggled to beat a poor Bristol Rovers team and haven't taken any more points than us over the last 5 games - and we've had to navigate Portsmouth, Blackpool, and Bolton themselves in that time.

Wycombe are playing a final this evening....beat them and it leaves 2 home games and Cambridge away.

Honestly, I can see us winning the next 2, and Bolton drawing against Portsmouth, and it all being all being effectively over. Only 6 days to wait.

Tactically I thought it was interesting today how Wycombe played against Posh today. Thought they did well in shutting them down. More of the same against us I suspect…

Same so do I and they will. Thing I like about us this season is how well we respond to adversity. There is a steel about them. We’ve had to s******** recent games largely due to our injury situation (which is as bad as anyones in the league for all Bolton’s bleating), but I thought we were really good against Pompey and I can see a return to the excellent performances of Bristol Vale and Reading for the last 4 games. If we play like we did against Pompey in the remaining fixtures we’ll get this done, no doubt in my mind.

I think we thought the same at Northampton….😎

9 points will be enough to go up with a better GD. Bolton aren't winning 4/4. The next week will seal our fate. Failure to win either game and we'll be in a spot of bother. The Wycombe game is almost a free hit.

The way things are going we won’t have a better GD than Bolton. They have far more firepower than us and have managed two five goal games in a month. How many of those have we managed !!? They will outscore us up to the end of the season and it’s not like they ship a massive amount of goals..

To my mind it’s win all four or the playoffs. After the Northampton fiasco the Wycombe game really worries me. People judge them as cloggers but they can play as well- check out their thrashing of Posh earlier in the season..

What price a draw between Bolton and pompey ???

  13. Worrying how much form Collins has now found for Bolton.
I’ve always said that I could see GD becoming a real deciding factor and our lead in that regard has almost gone. The way they are playing I can see them quite easily outscoring us to the end of the season. In that case it’s just about wins- honestly believe we must win all four.

Massive pressure now on us to win at Wycombe.
