Oldben got a reaction from strawhillram in Who is looking forward to league one
I'm not looking forward to League One.
I'm not looking forward to the team we are likely to be able to afford to field next season.
I'm not confident we will be promoted in the first season in League one.
I'm looking forward to seeing the team saved, and a huge rebuild.

Before completely blaming the efl, i think its worth while looking at a partial cause of the rot.

One thing that might have prevented derbys current plight is an independent regulator, here discussed ...

Rangers
In October 2014, Ashley owned an 8.92% stake in Rangers International Football Club (RIFC), the parent company of Scottish football club Rangers. The Scottish Football Association rejected Ashley's request to raise his shareholding in RIFC to 29.9%, due to the fact he already owned a large amount of Newcastle United shares, which was seen as a conflict of interest.
In January 2015, Rangers fans protested against Mike Ashley's plans to secure a £10 million loan using the club's stadium as security. Some Rangers supporter groups heavily criticised Ashley and expressed major concern and distrust about his nature and purpose of his intentions. On 23 June 2017, Ashley sold his entire Rangers shareholding to Club 1872 and Julian Wolhardt.

No,
After already ‘gifting’ CK relegation to league 1, MM is being asked to give back the -15 that the debts he ran up have caused.

My thoughts ...
Mm prepared to make offer on stadium, a bargain basement 22 million instead of the 25 million he had wanted.
Hardly call that prepared to make an offer.
Generosity knows no bounds.
He leaves derby 60+ million in debt, part of which is a loan against the stadium for 30 million to msd.
The lucky new owner has to agree to a repayment plan with msd before paying off mm separately.

Well he's left the club 60 million plus in debt and without a stadium so know its not baseless, that require a lack of truth on this.

Recommend George Hirst, now his loan at Portsmouth comes to an end, 15 goals in total this season.

So why has nobody bought Mels over priced train set? Been up for sale for a couple of years..... Because nobody is going to fork our for a vastly overpriced club.... Not me thats the clown!
I agree owners go into football knowing they are likely yo have to bank roll thier clubs. It doesnt mean they are prepared to pay rediculous money to start with.
Kirchner is not going to complete this deal, unless he's gifted tge ground, or a local consortium purchase it and allow hi. to use it for a peppercorn rent.... Im surpised Q have been stupid enough to give CK till Sat with extended exclusivity, they should be looking at all offers.

I think Bradley still has connections to the area so I'd like to think he may consider coming back even on vastly reduced wages. He would certainly help add some physicality and experience to our midfield.
He would have to take a wage we can afford though, no more crazy contracts for a while.

Oldben reacted to Kernow in LG 1 appropriate transfer suggestions
Bradley Johnson has confirmed he's leaving Blackburn on a free transfer. I can't imagine it's very attainable given the fact he's almost certain to have better offers, but I'd love him back.
Thought he did really well for us before, he was just a victim of our big spending spree and the massive expectations that came with it. It wasn't his fault we paid £6m for him, but he still did a good job. Even if we end up renewing most of our current squad, we're still going to have a very young midfield. He would add some experience and physicality back in to it. Would tear up League One.

Hopefully next season, we will be starting the bounce as we start our first match.
Not a bounce to celebrate playing in league one but because MM has nothing more to do with dcfc.
I would be equally happy if the grounds out of mm hands, and dcfc is saved, to have a summer music concert to raise funds for the club and welcome the new owner.

Agreed.
I actually think that this would help, he's got other businesses and to be banned from owning them due to his mismagement of Derby would be great.

Rooney says that the least preferable option would be a ground share.
However, he doesn't rule that out as without a ground to play in, the team can't play.

Det suggests a solution to the stadium, might be a ground share with Stoke or Leicester.
I like that idea.
It would leave mm with a stadium he can't get much money for or rent.
Who would would rent pride Park if it wasn't used by a football stadium, and knocking down pride Park to building housing would cost to much.
