No words. Well none fit for a public forum anyway. I thought I could not lower my opinion of the Efl. They need to be abolished now. And parry and ridsdale sacked off.

They won't say anything as there is a gagging order. Shame no -one gagged the EFL when they were leaking stories to the press.

There was none.. in fAct The  LAP  only ruled on a matter of law , not on the facts of the case. They did not cross examine anyone or have any extra evidence.  Proper remedy should have been to refer back to the IDC which had an accountant on it.

MIND should drop their links with The EFL - because the EFL are mindless.
For their to be no mitigation at all for the 22 months of depletion and deferred punishment suffered at Derby, is diabolical.
The DCFC squad shrinkage and 'silent' penalties suffered through the long embargoes during EFL appeals, such as the Boro legal actions, have damaged the club badly.
EFL media-feeds about the 'alternative' Wycombe-Derby fixture lists, and their 'regret' that no initial points penalty was inflicted in August 2020 shows that The EFL wanted to make an example of DCFC.
Birch & Parry have been sleeping on the job regarding any tackling of the Prem / EFL income distribution disparities, they are inadequate and need to be replaced.
They have dumbed-down the League because ever-increasing parachute payments make it anti-competitive without clubs breaking outdated rules - but they probably smile secretly to themselves because watching clubs like Sunderland, Ipswich, Derby in League One will allow them to brag how healthy the gates are in their third tier.

This episode has had two effects on me. Firstly increased my loyalty and love for DCFC and the sport, and secondly cystallised my loathing of football administration, organisation and competitions.
    Conflicting.
If I could renew for next season now, I would. If I could flick a switch and give the entire staff of FIFA, UEFA, FA, EPL, EFL and all foreign leagues a dose of incurable, desquamating genital herpes, I'd do that also.
We'll be suffering this for another 18 months, if we can get a buyer, by the time the ridiculous restrictions are lifted. 4 years of limbo, all told? Worthy of a banana republic.
    Oh well. Up the Rams.

There may be a delay due to agreeing a business plan with Efl which is tricky if you don’t know who the owner will be. Agreeing a punishment has to coincide with new owners taking over.
but I think we are close to moving to preferred bidder stage … 48 hours maybe?

And by your metrics, a £21.5 million disadvantage in the final years of the respective players' contracts. ERV and straight line amortisation policies have two salient similarities; they start and end with the same sums, so net depreciation figures for the two methods are identical. Our methodology was accepted by the EFL for the three years in question and independently audited and approved by Derby's auditors, the IDC and the The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). That's three independent and fully qualified bodies versus the the appeal board which was appointed by the EFL and contained not one accounting professional and whose decision remains unratified, yet cannot be appealed.
Against this background, the club has spent most of the last two years under embargo and now finds itself shorn of senior squad members, unable to develop youth acquisitions and facing the additional punishment of a points deduction approaching 3 times that of Reading who made operating losses of £43.5million in the 2019/20 season, with accumulated losses totalling £138million. Their last overall wage bill was £37.6m with wages running at 211 per cent of revenue compared with 226 per cent the previous year. More frustrating still is the fact that Reading are able to appeal their 9 point sanction via an independent panel.
With all this in mind, can you explain why you take issue with folk suggesting there is something of a witch-hunt in process because for the life of me, it's hard to see anything even-handed about the EFL's behaviour at any point throughout the process. Folk are not expecting any kind of special dispensation after all, only a fair trial which I'd venture is far from unreasonable.

The delay in the accounts is due to Efl challenging the basis for the P and s accounts. Until the basis for that is agreed they cannot finalise accounts for 2018/19 and beyond I would think.

Only pretty sure? Clearly you're not certain of their competency to actually do what you're suggesting.
Me I'm pretty sure they'd have just continued to consider it something beyond their level of responsibility; don't forget that Kieran Maguire grassed us up / wrote to the EFL alerting them to the potential issues in June 2018 yet they didn't do anything for 19 months to seek any clarity.

I listened to Mel's RD interview. I didn't hear it that way at all.Are you confusing "term" of the loan, ie term to repayment  with "terms of the loan" .. ie we aren't eligible?

Well Boro and Wycombe are claiming that we owe them money. By that reckoning . QPR owe us money too. A lot of it. The only parties that benefited from QPR’s wrongdoing was QPR., and the EFL.

so where’s our share of that?

You haven't been following this thread.EFL issued statements saying clubs who were suspected of FFP rule brecahes would not be eligible.  Then EFL changed their story when confronted by Rams fans.
