Well I agree with what House says:
I can see why people want to say the harms of one course of action are overstated but I don't see any evidence for anything other than COVID is terrible and lock is terrible
Yet people saying COVID isn't terrible. It has been. OK, I have doubts personally whether Omicrom will be a big killer but the damage has already been done, 150,000 lives lost.  And so is lockdown a terrible thing . It's wrecked lives, businesses.
No easy answers and it doesnt help people trying to say Government is exaggerating the deaths people didn't die from COVID and all that. COVID is terrible and so is lockdown. There's no point in denying either , or that we had a terrible Hobson's choice between the two.

Personally I don't think the risks posed by Omicron are worth the cost of another lockdown.

Well exactly what I was thinking. If COVID had happened when Doughty family were trying to sell to Fawaz or when Fawaz was trying to sell to the Greeks then Forest would have been in a much bigger mess than us. Forest made much worse decisions than us , both under Doughty and Fawaz. How many managers have they had? 

As I say I think Nixon is full of BS. Gadsby was  always going to be be part of a consortium, like he was last time. . He's actually worth way more than £50 milion on his own, but sensibly he isn't going to spend that all on Derby , and so with a consortium (with or without appleby) they will have enough funds.

Well no reason to doubt that he died after he caught COVID if that's what the BBC say. Although whether cause of death is normally in the headline, fair point BBC probably bigging it up. I don't remember it was ever stated what another, more famous  80 year old drummer died from. With Charlie watts I think it was complications after  a medical procedure... I suppose really none of our business.

Agree with all of this. I posted something yesterday that Gboro had already pointed out, because well I didn't see his post. I have got work to do you know.
And yes I don't think there is  a clear distinction between "fact" and opinion. Someone mentioned statistics being facts, well often they are but they are also often presented in a way that is misleading and wrong. Hence the expression lies, damed lies and statistics. And a series of facts , selectively stitched together can be used to draw a wrong conclusion , especially if you throw in a heavy does of confirmation bias.
