Excellent interview came across well I thought-sounds like he’s building a good team ethic be interesting to see who the players go for as captain.

Im sure we have a pretty decent but im also pretty sure the business plan is not to run up debt.I would guess 20000 season ticket sales would bring in £7million at an average say of £350? On the day an away tickets and corporate would probably push that up to £10 million and from that we have to pay players and staff and HMRC run 2 complexes plus all adminstration travel training etc-Then theres agents fees etc With good financial management we could break even but it doesnt allow you to go full Mel with signings.
you can see why teams in league 1 love a good cup run and a big TV windfall.
Last thing we need is a Truss/Kwartang approach.

Looking at the potential make up of next season’s league 1 -if Wednesday win the playoffs I would say we will feature in the lion’s share of televised games for the division which could well mean some variable kick off times as the primary game will be the championship one

I trust Clowes. I just think we should be allowed to criticise Warne based on Feb and March. The squad we have, despite not being perfect - or too 2, shouldn’t have had a run like that spell.
A significant factor in that run was the injury to Bird who was playing very well previously and must have disrupted things

I have a strange feeling that the final game against Wednesday will see us needing to win to make play offs and them needing to win to make automatic-we sneak it then we face them in the semis over 2 legs

Barnsley are definitely in with a shout of second given their form.
Agree with this-wouldnt fancy them in the playoffs

I am getting a little concerned about NML. Him and McGoldrick have been our best players this season. But NML has now played more games this season than he has played in the last 2 combined. He has never played 45 games in a season and looks to be running out of steam or he has lost the confidence to go round people .
It seems to me that if NML doesn't beat the man on the first time he has a run his confidence drops and he struggles-Their full back played him pretty well last night.

Superb work rate from everyone -something I’ve felt we’ve been missing for years.Really impressed with what Warne has done to Sibley - thought he was excellent when he came on and worked well with Dobbs

IMO-BBC sounds is well worth the license fee-hardly ever listen to live radio apart from sport-some really good music programs on different local stations esp Radio Scotland

Surely it will be Rosenior with the current staff as they are under contract for another year and we can’t afford to pay them off or if we poach someone pay any compo. How will all this sit in the business plan we have to put to the EFL. Sad that Wayne has gone been a good frontman for the club but wouldn’t have been here for too long I think -if he’d done well he would have been taken by someone and if we had a bad season he’d have had to go

At present who would set the price for season tickets-surely it would be the new owner. It got to be well priced as im sure as many will be considering ,despite how much they would like one with the cost of everything sky rocketing whether they can afford to commit to one it, especially if you travel quite a distance with the increasing fuel cost

Not saying he has the cash but from personal experience when i bought a house using a big chunk of cash from my savings along with a loan from my employer who was transferring the cash to my solicitor it took almost 6 weeks to resolve with all the money laundering checks.
Barclays were a nightmare so i assume a deal like this is so complex and hard to conclude.

If I didn't check, I would have sworn Mansfield were in the Championship in the early 2000's, but must have been mixing them up with some other small club like Walsall.
Mansfield have actually been in the 2nd division once (77/78).
Remember them being on Star soccer against Spurs who were in Div 2 the same season.3-3 draw

What’s the point of him buying the club really-just a money pit and guaranteed abuse from the knuckle dragging morons that we have within our support-I know I would walk away

That is probably Warnes thinking and may well look to the loan market which should be starting to generate in the next few weeks.
I think theres very little available where we are competing financially
