  1. Its going to be a total rebuild for sure,Lawrence will be off and i cant see beilik wanting to drop down a division again although we still owe Arsenal a fee for him

Jags i think may come back and Ravel might fancy another season with Rooney,as for the rest its a guessing game  and how much will Rooney be given to spend, but more likely we will be looking at loans and freebies

In the previous 1073 pages this may have been covered, but why don't the administrators simply give a final deadline for bidders (a sort of sealed bids scenario) and then take the highest, name them as the preferred bidder and proceed with the sale?

I think they would if they could, these potential buyers are business men at the end of the day and will not pay over the odds for a club that will be potentially in a lower division,if we were relegated by now the deal would of been done and dusted for sure by now, however the longer this drags on the less players we will have at our disposal as most are out of contract at the end of this season and with no buyer in place means no new contacts for them, these are dark times indeed

I think the administrators are still in negotiations.

Potential new owners have accepted relegation and a -15 point deduction for next season in order to reduce the debt.

Creditors have two choices in the summer, liquidate the club and get almost zero return.

Hmrc will not want to take a lower amount, but will know they can get something and will accept that even if they don't want to.

So there will be a derby next season.

I don't think the club will be promoted next season, it needs a huge rebuild.

Next season will be about rebuilding.

Not sure if derby will play at pride Park again, more likely to ground share with another club.

I think that the efl will allow derby to sign players next season but might select to only permit a given level of allowed transfer budge, making derby uncompetitive.

The binnie brothers supposedly offered circa 30 million for Derby, I think thats maximum sort of money that Derby can hope to achieve if relegated?!

At least the msd debt will not be on derby, as I don't think derby will take on pride Park, so that debt remains with MM.

Very good post and pretty much agree with all you say.

I did post a few days ago mentioning what i think is the main reason the take over as not happened yet is the fact the the potential buyers do not want to overpay for a club that in turns gets relegated at the end of the day these buyers are business men

If relegation is confirmed in the coming weeks i think we will see positive movement in the buyout which should stop us taking more points penalty for next season and given us chance to build the team from the bottom once again

I'm not really getting the wait till we see if we're a championship or League 1 club.  The debt remains and increases whatever league and if its left till May we have no team.  Leaving it till then would make no sense to any investor.  That's not the issue .  If it's true that the admin want 50 million, Half of which is their fee and MSD,  we are buggered.  With the cost of new contracts, loan fees, additional wages and agent fees for freebies, ground maintenance and back rent to Morris, plus additional transfer fees, payoffs etc still owing then 25-30 million is a correct offer to facilitate a satisfactory outcome for creditors.  Mels got to help out with the MSD loan by at least halving it and arranging the lease of the ground for the remainder with a handover on loan payment completion in a few years. If he does we get moving .  If we want 50 million upfront it is not happening.

The first points you make are indeed correct the debt is the debt whichever league we end up in

However potential buyers are not going to stump up the same price for a team in a league lower, revenue is greatly reduced in TV and match day earnings, our crowds will fall to around 18-20K only likely to rise if we do get anywhere close to the top and pushing for promotion, away support will be low also apart from a few bigger clubs

If we had clarity which division we were going to play in next season i think a price and deal would of been made by now,but we are hanging on by a thread to the Championship and if we do survive the price will be higher

Seriously though I find the incompetence throughout the whole process off the scale.

The longer it drags on the club loses more value. None of it makes good business sense.

I'm actually at the stage now that I simply don't know how I feel about it all.

    Frustrated. Infuriated. Astounded.

On the pitch the lads have been a credit to the City as have the coaching team. Everyone else in positions of power and influence....................

Spot on post and you are totally correct

Given the fact we have now been in administration for the best part of 6 months Quantuma will have a massive bill that needs paying, they keep saying they are there for the clubs best interest but i am now starting to think this is not the case, there job as we know is to get as much money in for the creditors as possible which now includes themselves

I would not blame fellow players give him a cold shoulder as needles sending offs have cost us just because he could not control his temper.

He needs to give us supporters his best performance in a Derby shirt this weekend for sure he owes us big time,no were near it last three games and could potentially end up costing us our place in the Championship although unlikely as we have to many other players who shouldnt even be close to the first team to be fair

I have got a bit of a theory about this; his change has come since Rooney rightfully pointed out his lack of end product a few weeks back. Since then, you can tell he is almost too conscious about slowing down and thinking about what he is doing and almost not sprinting as he is over conscious about running it out of play and taking Rooney's advice - it's a weird conundrum.

To be honest, I never massively rated him at the start (it's a game of opinions) but I hugely respect his raw attributes and when playing in the raw manner he did at the start, there is definitely a place for him in the team as he terrifies defenders and drags the team up the pitch; we just have to accept that there will be no end product sometimes. On the other hand, currently, he isn't offering us anything as he has stopped doing the raw, dangerous things he did at the start and is consciously trying to make himself become something I don't think he's capable of being.

This may be the ramblings of a mad man but I know what I mean and it certainly isn't a dig - just an honest evaluation. I want to see the Festy when he first burst on to scene - frustrating but exhilerating -there is nothing stopping him trying to improve certain areas of his game, just not to the detriment of his current strengths.

Pretty much spot on,he is playing first team football two years to soon which is down to were we find ourselves,i think the commentators on the game last night mentioned on a few occasions his positioning is awful and needs to get in the box more

Infuriating last night. One of, if not THE fastest player in the league. A couple of times had the chance to break on the them and he seemed to just jog with it, and then got caught!

A few times just jogging back when Cardiff we're going down the left, only then to sprint when he realises he should be back. (That may have been where Cashin chested it in the 6 yard box?)

For a player with no a great amount of skill or finesse on the ball, why does he insist on cutting inside and running into traffic. Has a much better chance when he goes round the outside.

Needs to really improve other areas of his game otherwise he's gonna get found out as a 1 trick pony.

Correct no end product what so ever he is young and been forced in the first team before ready, another Adam Traore in the making cant get a regular start for the very same reason

We need to get 1.5 points per game, if we do that then we will get to 42 points, which many believe is more than enough. Lets see! We are currently 1.5 points below the line, so a win on saturday will put us bang on what we need to achieve 42 points.

    DCFC great escape.jpg

If it does mean we need 42 points its a big ask even after watching last nights game,Peterborough game on Saturday is massive

  10. I think we are all clutching at straws to be honest, what with suspensions and now injury's its all becoming a massive ask

Last three games shows were we are in real terms apart from a 96th minute equalizer out the blue it would of been three on the bounce

We have 17 games to get a minimum 30 points realistically,we will give our support until the end for sure but survival is unlikely

They are all massive games to the end of the season.
I’ll be there and then 10 days to Hull at home and then Boro away to which I’m also going

Yes correct we need to be playing from now until the end of the season top 6 football, assuming 45 points might just about do it we have 18 games left thats 1.66 points a game,a big ask given the strength of our squad

Posted in Transfer Forum, but if the Admins are accepting bids of only £500k for Festy - and from Forest!! - then:

    1. it undermines what Rooney says about having the final say
    2. it scuppers what people say the Admins tell them in meetings about not having to sell players
    3. and it must mean we are miles from a takeover.

I said in a post two months ago, forget what Derby County say and Rooney administrators are employed for one reason and one reason only is to get creditors as much as they can from any means they can they are not there for our benefit even more so is how long this is dragging on they themselves will be rubbing there hands and after HRMC they will be first in line to be paid

Two weeks ago i thought we might have a squeak and get out of relegation trouble, now i am not so sure we have 7 days for a takeover to take place before we lose players to ridiculous prices just to stay afloat even then it may not be enough come D day 1st Feb

There is potentially a get out of jail (and save a small amount of face) for both the EFL and the two ambulance Chasers - if the EFL announce that they have reviewed the rules in relation to the law changing and that they have also reviewed the claims from the 2 chancers, they can then legimately say that they've told the 2 that their claims shouldn't be treated as football debts and so they will need to go to court to make their claims.

That paves the way for the PB to be announced while making the EFL look as if they've taken decisive action and still gives the scumbags a chance to press their claims (even though in reality both will realise they have virtaually no chance of success in a law court as opposed to the EFL kangaroo court they hope to appear in.....). No-one is having to publicly back down and the Rams can be saved....

Common sense says this should be a given we took our medicine (21 pts deducted) and that should be that.

The problem still lies with the fact i still think they will chance there hand which is putting potential buyers off,the league need to grow a pair and say there is no case to answer

Just listened to it - it’s from 30 mins onwards. Really good to get more national coverage.

Absolutely shocking that Kieron Maguire said he spoke to another Championship Chairman, who said he didn’t know Shinnie was on the market and he’d have paid £100k for him. That’s one Chairman. What the hell are the administrators playing at selling him for £30k?

Yes i thought that was way to cheap although reducing the wage bill is probably more of a concern at present, that said it shows you if we do have to do a mass sale of players this month just to survive we will get peanuts for our players once the vultures come calling

  15. 14 minutes ago, Andicis said:

Question is, at which point during this window are we going to have to start panic selling our players? Ultimately, we do not have the ability to see out the season if the EFL won't budge from this position, so realistically if nothing changes, I'd expect that to happen.

Have to agree, this is all becoming a real danger we could fold as a club i am still amazed with all the wrangling going on we still have potential buyers,The EFL should of stepped in by now and told both Wycombe and Middlesborough there will be no case to answer they instructed our punishment (21 points) and the time scale of said punishment

Don't think we will lose anyone that Rooney needs here.

This depends on whether we have a new owner are not by the end of the month, the administers are there for the creditors not Wayne Rooney never mind what he keeps saying, because if we dont and if we get a sensible offer on any player they will be gone

I think the gravity of the situation is starting to become very apparent.

Clearly the HMRC aren't playing ball, Kirchner grows frustrated and I would imagine will eventually tail off.

Our survival hinges on the possibility of selling anyone we can get a few quid for to try and bring the tax debt down.

We need to hope and pray we got a decent price each of Knight, Bird, Buchanan and Sibley.

Everything you say is spot on and we are in a dire situation,Come January the players will go for a fraction of what we would normally expect to get, forget that the administrators are doing there best for the club they will cash in if and when we get clubs come knocking its how these things work.If its to save the club in the end then so be it ,were a League 1 side now in all but name already

Unlucky tonight, if we had took some early chances it may of been different but with the depth upfront they always were going to get and convert a chance. Their winner was a great finish as well. Thought Rooneys team selection was a bit odd with Morrison starting, he was out of position but also didn’t look like he gave a dam, not the attitude we need in this team.

Yes agree Morrison was god dam awful and should of been dragged off at halftime as soon as Ebbosile came on we looked more dangerous although i cant remember CKR actually touching the ball as well

They have 5 players last night who had played in the prem in the past 18months.

We had 1 and that was a 39yo CB.

Yes and it shown as well QPR looked a more complete team and looked dangerous every attack you could see the result coming it was just a matter of when and could we nick a point in the end

Did you see the number the Liverpool debutant had on his back on Saturday? No 80 - have they really got that many close to first team duties?

Unlikely players like to take certain numbers as good look or as a meaning, take Trent Alexander Arnold chose number 66
