Did anyone know these before ? I’m an old bar steward and can’t remember them.

Seem to remember the Carl Wynton one being featured in the Ram newspaper, at some point.

Really? Because I don’t know one person who lives over here over the age of 13 who isnt fully vaccinated and as a 50 year old I have been fully vaccinated since February... and my 80 year old father who lives in England hadn’t even had his first by then.

Muespach you must be lucky i have Friends in Vegas , Wyoming and Washington State , in their 50's still waiting for the first Pfizer Jab.

The content of the letter was provided, not the final draft.  For me, the important thing was the content, not how the letter looked.  There wasn't time to canvass opinion from all members so branch committees made the decision on their member's behalf, which is what they are elected to do.

Thanks Notts for the insight, a couple of the guys who weren't happy about the letter are also in the same branch as me.

i have contacted the Chairperson who said exactly the same as you have.

We will have to agree to disagree re the content.

Just to be clear, every branch committee of the Supporters Club was consulted before the letter was signed by the representative and i believe the unanimous response was to sign.  If you have an issue with this you really need to take it up with your branch at committee level.

Will do. But again the drafting of it is the issue. I have to draft numerous reports for my businesses and i am sorry that was way below the standard of an official letter Did the branch committees' have sight of the final draft before it was sent? (hypothetically).

Full transparency from me (Ryan) on this one: I was approached to offer some thoughts about what could be done and signed this purely from my personal viewpoint that the club is in disarray and we've spent over a year now not being communicated to whilst seeing the name of the club dragged through the mud.

As just an individual, I felt comfortable doing so because I agreed with the points made, but more importantly because I think that going forward, there needs to be a more united voice for supporters as a whole, rather than the array of random splinter groups which appear when crisis arises every few years.

I'm not a member of RamsTrust or any supporters groups for that matter, just someone who is looking to try and do something. And I know that we all are but hey, every little helps I guess. And one thing I just want to make clear - absolutely, 100% don't think my name would hold anymore weight than any other individuals would. I live hundreds of miles from PP at the moment in a tiny studio flat, and had to wait until 2018 until to get my first season ticket. I've even been known to cancel Rams TV during the off-season. I'm just a Derby County supporter who was approached and is happy to try and help, all with the best of intentions.

Understand that in the past supporters groups have been divisive and often don't speak necessarily on behalf of supporters whilst all battling against each other. Maybe this is one of those times, and if so I hold my hands up.

Thanks chap, At least you have the bits to put your head over the wall, much appreciated.

When I discussed this last night with one or two other Rams they were more concerned about the wording than the sentiment. I then got appointed (unofficially) to present a pov to the club that was more balanced.

I don't think for a minute that. Anyone involved with the letter is being malicious it just isn’t drafted very well.

I’m not a fan of being told I’m represented by someone or something I knew nothing about, and who gave that group of people the right to think they can speak on my behalf? However that said, they are the questions that need answering so well done on that, and hopefully some good will come out of it.

I Have already sent an e-mail last night expressing that from myself and some close Rams that this doesn't speak for us as a whole.

i think the letter is misguided and trouble making at a time when it isn't needed, i am a member of the official supporters club and i see it is been signed by one of the officials, again no official consultation has took place.

Don't usually get annoyed about anything DCFC other than results but is has really irked myself and a few others close to me.

We could book small bands, comedians, disco's, bingo, etc to play in the various corporate bars within the ground to generate money and book the massive big bands to play live within the ground and bring in all other entertainment to bring in the children our current and future fans, family entertainment, theatre, cinema, roller skating, skateboarding, bmx, art galleries, trampolines, bouncy castles, lazers, creches, food halls, restaurants etc etc all open and generating cash thoughout the week. Promote all the local entertainers within the ground, make them superstars and let them generate funds for our club.

And I'll wear some jeans and buy some Status Quo records........................

I'll run the raffle every week.

I am not trying to knock the Idea as anything that keeps the club existing should be on the table, but for every Wimbledon there is a Port Vale, who went down this path in 2000 and ended in receivership. The main reasons being conflicting objectives and personalities.

Wimbledon works because it is in the hands of a relatively few people and a passive share holder basis. This may work scaling it up 20x but also it may not.

It is also a "New" club ie: Winkleman bought out the franchise and moved it to MK, the supporters then started from afresh.

Allegedly his representitives were pushing for the US bid to be considered by the current regiem.

Maybe he's not so bad after all.

I Heard that Mark Davis (co-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders) is looking to invest in an English football club and there is a possible link to Rooney as Davis is good mates with David Beckham. No definite signals and i am putting 2and2 and trying to make 4.

What’s with people booking days off after their jabs?

Surely half of the problem is thinking you’re going to get symptoms.

I had my AZ on the Sunday back at work next day.

Weirdly, though due to other health issues i have to inject on a regular basis(no dodgy comments please) so i am used to injections both self administered and the big ones at the Docs but the  AZ vax floored me for two days, fortunately i am working from home at present so no days off BOO.

Game 39/42 in title year, getting there.

Was at that game and sat on the other side of the cricket pitch, my old man got into an argument with a drunken Sheff U fan, who seeing our colours made out that we were the worst side he'd seen all season!!!

    Hmmm.

I've not seen such disrespect from one so young since I saw Jack Grealish gobbing off at an official for ruling him offside (he blatantly was offside) in an U18 game (may have been an U21's at the time) against us a number of year back.

The problem with Grealish is he believes his own gripe (sic).

Quite - Maybe people underestimate the cost of building and maintaining a website, like any business decision you have CBA thinking around it. Oddly, my day job was enabling data mining (in financial services) for end users, loved it some days!

I sort of fell into it in the early nineties as I am material's engineer by background, but was involved in data transfer in the eighties from RR to the big airframe manufacturers when it was quite novel to send data digitally, then a chance conversation with a guy i went to school with, who worked for a health are provider led to me doing some moonlighting and it went from there.

Still have a day job in Aerospace engineering, and run my own business at evenings and weekends.

It's a great field to be in.

Does it really worry you? My LTD company doesn't have a website, the company employs a few people and is the vehicle for revenue & expenses, assets & liabilities. There is, literally, no reason for me to go to the expense of creating and maintaining a website. Just saying, there are more relevant things to be worried about.

Mine too and my business is in Data mining for health care businesses. Don't need one if you are good at networking and already have all the contacts you will ever need. Some businesses operate in a smaller sphere of operations. Thought I might need one when C19 hit but now I have am glad I didn't as I have too much work.
