Also feel if he is replaced by Rooney he’s being very hard done by.

Birmingham City do have previous form with this type of behaviour. They sacked Rowett when they were doing quite well, brought in another celebrity manager, Zola and the teams form absolutely collapsed. I don't think the Italian maestro lasted too long there.

How are you lot feeling about Wayne Rooney going to Birmingham

They are welcome to Wazza and I don't expect him to be very successful, unless he manages to appoint someone with brains as an assistant.

Said Luton not so long ago.

I'm interested in Derby County, and my comment was related to to the realities of the situation the club currently finds itself in. Not really concerned with what the voice of Luton Town said/might have said/didn't say.

If Leicester, Leeds and Southampton go up this season they will not need the 2nd and 3rd years parachute money . That’s 3x £80 million. If that happened , say 4 out of 8 years that would come to almost £1 Billion. What happens to that money ? It’s loose change divided up between grasping Prem teams on top of the £Millions they get anyway. The point being - we cannot yet compete in the Championship. Warne’s cunning plan - is to keep us in L1 for a couple more years without getting the sack.

Yes unfortunately we really do fit the bill as an upper mid table L1 team. Way off even being an average ch'ship team, and the PL might as well be on another planet.....

Reading the negatives on here and elsewhere I get the feeling that most of the moaners don't understand that, each and every game, there's 11 other players on the pitch doing their level best to frustrate us and to defeat us. Failure to win is always seen as a failure when it's just as likely to be down to the oppo XI doing their job well.

Take Cheltenham as an example. 6 good stops by their keeper and 2 goal line blocks by defenders. They managed just 2 shots on target, one of which was gifted to them by us. We managed to create chances. Some we missed the target but their keeper and back 4 also played well. Do people not see that?

Look at Citeh when they went to Wolves. 68% possession. 23 shots to 3. 8 shots on target versus 1 from Wolves. Wolves won 2-1. How many thousand of bets, including my 10 game accy that would have paid out just over a grand, went south because of that result.

The vitriol is, IMO, over the top and unnecessary.

Successful teams have to find a way to play against those teams out to frustrate and contain. It's also about turning those draws into wins. I don't think people are being negative when they are disappointed at not winning a game against a bottom of the league team who hadn't scored a goal all season. That's not an unreasonable expectation. The manager being happy with the performance is however, a bit of a concern.

Regardless of how we played we should be beating Cheltenham in there current form …not good enough

Yes a very poor outcome for Derby County under any circumstances. In his post match interview Warne indicated that he wasn't unhappy with the performance, but also said that the game is about scoring goals.

Pre match, I was convinced that there would be more than enough in the squad to be beating bottom of L1 Cheltenham. I am beginning to wonder if the players have the motivation to win games like this. The manager needs to get the players focused on delivering the results that are required to ensure the minimum of a top 6 position in this league.

People talk about the perfect storm of no investment, bad running, bad players, but we had some horrendous luck as well. Just a normal amount of luck and we might have got a couple more points.

Any team having to suffer the self destructive negligence of Billy Davies followed by the incompetence of 'not fit for purpose' Jewell, would have struggled.

Are you happy to challenge my maths?

As I was replying to the question of whether we needed to turn things around.

And on our current PPG home and away extrapolated to the end of the season we would finish in the playoffs if last season's league table was replicated this time around.

Fairly certain the majority would acknowledge that home form needs to (and most likely will) improve.

Mansfield Town, played 10 Won 4 Drawn 6 lost 0, 2 points from top position in league 2, goals for 17 goals, against 9 currently 4th in league

I would have Clough back in a heart beat, came into DCFC and told to reduce wages by 60%, which he did and had no where near the backing that the PE teacher has had, bring him back.

It's interesting hypothetically (as we don't have a vacancy), but not sure if it's a good idea to go back. Nigel Clough did a good job, but is generally recognised in hindsight and was unpopular with many fans during his tenure. Having said that, a very good  manager at this level, no question.

The 11 point record doesn't bother me. Any football fan you chat to will want to talk about it and listen to stories about it.

One fan I met couldn't believe that I had a season ticket and went to every game. He said after about 10 games he would have stopped going and probably never gone back the next season either.

Its a badge of honour for me among friends who support massive clubs and have seen them play maybe once or twice in the flesh that I kept going and still do.

Worst team in history? Yeah we were. The fans showed they were anything but and we should be eternally proud of that and own it as a club and a fan base.

Yes we were the worst team, and the dreadful 11pts record is an absolute embarrassment that has tainted the clubs proud history. I would be ecstatic if another poor performing team achieve less than 11pts and take ownership of that lousy record. Actually, I don't see it happening, but live in hope.....

I'd rather the EFL took the same view as the Premier League do to AFCON when dealing with League 1 and international breaks i.e. tough luck, play the games with players missing and get on with it.

One of the things I've really enjoyed about being in this God awful division is the regularity of Saturday afternoons and ability to plan your life.

Yes, I said similar when we were relegated. The more games on Saturday the better. Postponing games in the 3rd tier of football for an international break is just daft.

Actually, the introduction of international breaks in English football hasn't resulted in any success for the national team.
