I like to mix it up a bit and bring in fresh blood now and again. Keeps the lads on their toes otherwise they'd get complacent. If they don't get picked and up at the back of the mug cupboard then it'll be a long hard season for them to make it up to the kettle again. A bit like Alex Pearce in his first season with us.

Bellend tends to get bruised a bit though.

Yes the big lads are usually first on the team sheet. If I can't handle the volume the full backs come into play.

I don't think this can be beaten. It's mint. If pay to look at that. It's that good. Do all the staff at Pride Park have DCFC mugs I wonder?

Not at all, the guy just reminded me of Mel that's all so I call it my Derby mug. Some will say I'm the mug but they've never tried the sausages.
Never thought I'd ever see a cup older than Forest's! 

I believe mine is rather marvellous. I've had it for 40+ years and it's never been used either.

As cool as it is, doesn't it defeat the purpose of a mug it you don't use it??

I prefer the traditional back 4. Two big lads in the middle. The left-back is getting on a bit and has a long term injury but he still does the job.

If you read the match thread on a Saturday evening it sometimes sounds like there was 11 of them on the pitch.

Yes it does it holds a good cup full too. It has retained its print well. I have another at work which has lost its print in the dishwasher. 

I like that it's black and white and has the Rampant Ram. I bet tea tastes pretty good in that every time. 

When I was little, my Dad gave me an old, dark commemorative mug from our first title winning season with all the players' signatures printed on it in gold.
I dropped it one day and the handle came off.
He's not looked at me the same since.

Still got the wife. The make up sex after the argument nearly made up for the loss of the mug.

There's still a bit of the bbg pitch on a back lawn in Chaddesden ?

The piece of Baseball ground turf that was in my mothers garden until 4 years ago. 
I ripped it up on the last match of the 74/74 season against Carlisle. Lovingly carried it in my arms as I hitchhiked home to Norfolk, a big thanks to the drivers that gave me a lift and allowed me to drop Baseball ground dirt in their cars. 
For a few years I watered it and tended to it in a pot, on leaving home my father dug part of his lawn out and planted it in there. Where it stayed until 4 years ago, when it was dug up because my father was ill and my mother to old to look after the lawn.
