Ive said it many times. I was told to give him time...blah blah blah...whatever i said before i stand by it x10. The lad is poor. Technically rubbish. He runs around alot and that is it. Did you see him receive the ball out on the right mid way thru first half and his mis control looked like he actually passed it to their player??? Anybody trying to defend this player now is in denial. He will be sold in January. Leave him out the side.

You keep saying judge Rooney after 10/15 games. Load of rubbish. If we dont get this Embargo lifted it dont matter whos in charge. We are in big trouble. This squad will get worn down by the Championship. You could put Guardiola in charge and we would still be in trouble. This is not a fair level playing field for Rooney. For you to think it is just smacks you dont like Rooney. simple as that. Or you dont understand the state of the club.

For what it's worth, I'm extremely happy with Rooney. Positives: attitude (he's a natural born winner); contacts (no Rooney, no Morrison, for instance); real-life experience (he knows the difference between good and exceptional, he lived on that fine margin and played with others who did the same). I'd also argue his interviews show he's someone with a much deeper understanding of tactics and man-management than I would have given him credit for. Another massive positive: attitude. He's stuck around at Derby despite all the chaos, bit his tongue, bided his time. You can say 'ah well but he has no choice!' but I don't believe that. He's Wayne Rooney and frankly he'd could get a better paid gig with better prospects somewhere else. Bottom line is he's done better than Cocu - a far more experienced manager, someone more obviously suited to running a club.
We have many, many problems but Rooney isn't one of them. I'm incredibly grateful he stuck around.
Edit: there's this assumption with people like Rooney (or Beckham) that they are simply lucky, 'naturally gifted' kids who no nothing about football or graft etc etc. It's nonsense. The two things all top players have are a) supreme dedication and focus and b) a will to be the absolute best. That doesn't guarantee they will be great managers but it's a damn good place to start.)

Well said. Rooney has used his contacts and reputation in the game to good affect.
There is always a few who want to bash the manager even we are playing better than they expected.

Why is it ridiculous? If you think they would be queing up for the Derby job you should have a few names that YOU think would take it? Or you just blowing hot air for the sake of it cos you dont like Rooney? think its the latter.

If Rooney were to walk out tmoro you name me a manager of any promise or experiance that would apply for a job with a capacity of 23 players, including academy,no money,£4.5k max wages and possible points deduction. Ill wait. When has Rooney been allowed to spend money? Most hes done is 5 loans at the end of January. Not a penny spent. Id like to see him have spending power like Lampard and Cocu before judging him. Lampard wasted millions and Cocu left us 6 points adirft at the bottom with a side heading to League 1 100%!!

There is not a manager who would touch the Derby job atm. Wayne Rooney is the best by a distance who we could realistically have. I see people saying judge Rooney after 10/15 games. I say judge Rooney when he can move freely in the transfer market and given a fair chance. The restrictions are abysmal for any manager to work under. The likes of Jagielka and Morrison would not be here if it wasnt for Rooney. Hes a winner.

Rooney has had multiple interviews now, where he has been asked the question about walking away. He consistently says no. We have been crying out for stability and loyalty from a manager since Nigel Clough. He arguably has the toughest job of any manager for as long as I can remember supporting Derby (22 years) and despite having a bare minimum squad and having all the problems above him, he continues to show that he cares and wants to do well.
We are starting to see a style of play which is exciting and attacking with the handful players he has.
I think it's about time everyone starts to show respect to him instead of wanting him out. Any other manger would have left us in this mess.

He's sticking with us, we need to stick with him !!

Jozwiak has been awful. Ive said this before. You dont need 2 hands for his meaningful contributions in around 40 games for Derby. His biggest asset is his work rate. Im not buying this "Its the others not him" rubbish. I dont see any quality when he gets the ball. Jamie Ward,Johnny Russell u knew when they got the ball they could beat a man and produce quality. Never have anywhere near that confidence or expectation when Jozwiak gets the ball. People say hes played well for Poland...Really?? He got took off the last game after an hour in a game they needed to win. If we get an offer id seriously consider it.
