Invading the pitch would spoil the celebrations of many fans sat above ground level access to the pitch. Why can’t people wait and let the players /staff do their lap of honour so everyone can see, join in and applaud the efforts made during the season.

to my mind it is a selfish act to invade the pitch.

    Exactly my point

The Club have issued a statement regarding the possibility of criminal proceedings to any fans who encroach onto the pitch after final game .Should we gain promotion and get out of this awful League 1 after all of the ups and downs over the last few years l would have thought a simple gesture of letting the long suffering supporters celebrate and applaud the players is perfectly acceptable .Pompey fans assembled on the pitch last week after promotion was gained and created a fantastic spectacle. Why are Rams fans denied the opportunity after all it was common practice even in the great Clough era.The Club cites H&S worries and seems to forget that we are adults and do not need wrapping in cotton wool thank you very much.As a Club we have had little to celebrate in recent years ,Powers that be chill and let the supporters celebrate and thank the players in the time honoured way.

Adults should be able to follow a few rules. So, no, don't go on the pitch. No need.

However will be there next Saturday and as we’re then having my birthday meal with family the missus will also be at the match along with my kids. Hoping for amazing memories which will get my kids fully hooked on football and the Rams!!

…are you for the last 2 games? I’ve been home & away for most of the season but had to reluctantly relinquish my tickets for Cambridge & Carlisle for the sunnier clime of Sri Lanka from where I’ll be watching tonight. Pre-match today I’m taking plenty of fluid on board and doing some light pool work just to keep myself loose. It’s my birthday tomorrow so hopefully the Rams will present me with 3 points just to make tomorrow sweeter.
Where are you watching from if you’re not at the game? 🐏

Opened again last Saturday after being closed since August, The owners are the same people that own the Exeter, The Silk Mill and the Devonshire, Mark Roper who was in the band Anti Pasti is one of the owners, My Daughter knows him.

My next door neighbours on Cherry tree avenue were called Roper. Phil I seem to remember.  Could be a relative maybe.

Everyone stay in their seats...if we're promoted(of course)Carlisle players go over to their supporters, DCFC players congregate around the tunnel then let Carlisle leave the field of play, DCFC players applaud all fans with a "lap of runners up honour" then go into the centre circle and start the bounce.

The word "invasion" is what it is, There's people who want to see the players do the above, With an "invasion" players will not be allowed to come out until the pitch is cleared...by this time lots of fans have left the stadium to go and get pissed or home to hug their partner.

    KEEP OFF THE FCUCKING PITCH

PS...I'll be in the Rifleman(Belper)watching on my Sky Go App 👍

The Rifleman in Belper. It has been a few years since I was in there.

Pompey fans assaulted a Barnsley player on the pitch and some pubs were looted on the night in Southsea, hopefully if we do get to celebrate we do it in style and not like idiots .

Points deduction? Oh no only us

In my next level thinking I think we want Peterborough to win too. In the event that we lose or draw at Cambridge we may well need Peterborough to get a result against Bolton on the final day, so the last thing we want is for that game to be a dead rubber for Peterborough.

Imagine a doomsday scenario where we lose to Cambridge and Bolton win their next 2 games, the table would look this if Peterborough win their next 3 games:

    Bolton 88

    Derby 86*

    Peterborough 86

    *goal difference advantage over Peterborough

So going into the last day Peterborough would go all out to beat Bolton as they could still nick 2nd, but a win for them and win for us against Carlisle would mean that we take 2nd on goal difference 😎

Excellent.  No Portsmouth.  That is a win win.

I assume you mean ‘problem for Warne’? The idea the dressing room votes for captain is comical. The manager should be in charge. It’s been a costly cop out and hopefully it does not cost us promotion.

Yes. A typo on my behalf.  I do agree it was a mistake to allow the team to pick the captain from a management point of view.  However,  I also see the possible benefits of a leader who most want. Pros and cons.
