What about having a brain check to recognise before today we are top 6 in the form table since Rooney took over and on that form with the additions in the transfer market we have an outstanding chance to survive. What about remembering we won 3 games in a row before Wednesday. What about remembering we still have 19 games and on current scores we maybe 2nd bottom but we are also 4 points off 15th!!! Literally as soon as we lose 1 game then we’re certainties to go down with some people. It’s lunacy.
It was always going to be a scrap because we had one of the worst starts in championship history. But based on the form since Rooney took over we will get enough points to survive comfortably. If we return to the form pre-Rooney then it’s going to be a struggle and I’ll start to panic. But there has been nothing to suggest we I’ll return to that form so why assume we’re going to go down? I don’t get it ??‍♂️

Thought I'd have a quick look on OTIB as there recent loathing of us is always good for a chuckle. Today was always going to be a good one if we signed anybody.  Turns out there's a weeks worth and it's gone full house party at Norman Bates. Here's a sample for your bedtime reading you illiterate lot. This is one post by the way.
    Few observations on this:
The OP appeared to have jumped the gun- think a few were cheering early as well but anyway.
Would/should Keogh not be classed as a Football Creditor? I'd argue there might be a case but maybe that's 2+2=5? It's being appealed in any event (about the only thing that is appealing about that club).
Are they all up to date on their Tax ie on Player Wages- granted clubs will have taken advantage of the tax delays, but delay and defer is quite different to waived. EFL also decided to waive requirements for clubs in terms of Transfer Embargo if overdue taxation etc, presumably with Government blessing.
Those loans from MSD will still need repaying- along with any interest due.
Gabay's charge also still shows not cleared as yet, see Gellaw Newco 202 and Gellaw Newco 204.
Possible they have blocked the George Evans sale too.
On a side note, aren't their players generous- fancy not getting paid correctly and not only playing on but playing to win- same with Sheffield Wednesday, 13 pts from 6 games since wage issues came to light- is there a lesson??
Brighton seem generous too- would you leave a player on loan at a club when wage issues kick in at said club (see Matt Clarke). They lost £67.2m last season FFS! Why would you help out a club who have cash flow issues when you yourself made enormous (but owner covered in part no doubt) losses- I wouldn't! How much of Clarke's wages are Derby paying?
I also note Mel Morris is a CBE- he sure is...insert your own wording though, mine well and truly would differ to the official one.
PPS- Deferred wages and this is far from a Derby specific issue, have these also been settled in full- both at Derby and other clubs. If not they represent Football Creditors and if that's the case, I question why they are not under restrictions.
Also on another (final) side note, based on DCFCFans their fans do seem somewhat- and their ranting at Matt Hughes and claims of bias on Twitter- they do at least based on a sample, seem somewhat illiterate financially speaking in a football sense. I read OwlsTalk from time to time and they do seem to have a number who know what they're on about Accounting wise, possible sign off issues- they're thin on the ground on Derby's main forum. Perhaps I'm not reading in any great depth and extrapolating unfairly.

I haven't seen enough to form a serious opinion on the lad, but I hope he gets game time. Could be a player. Dean Sturridge looked keen but a bit 'meh' until he suddenly looked amazing. JHI could be the same.

Is he going to get more physical games than that this season? Yet he ate them for breakfast. Apparently radio Derby reeled out a stat that he won 80% of ball and did something with it eg. Retained possession or won a free kick.
We lost control of the game when he went off. No that doesn’t then say that shows the lack of quality in our squad, more he is extremely effective at what he does. He is a  Chris Wilder type of signing. He’s a good character and with players like him we have enough to turn this around.

REMEMBERING REG: BUST CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN FOR REG HARRISON
Rams Heritage Trust, in partnership with Field Lane Football Club, are delighted to announce the launch of a memorial campaign for Derby football legend, Reginald ‘Reg’ Harrison, with the full support of his family. Born on 22 May 1923 in Normanton, Reg is perhaps best known for his appearance in the victorious 1946 FA Cup Final where his beloved local team defeated Charlton Athletic 4-1 as they lifted the trophy for the first and only time. Reg played for Derby County from the age of 16 as an amateur and signed his professional papers in 1944 whilst serving in the Royal Engineers during the Second World War. He remained at the Rams until 1955 before moving onto Boston United and later Long Eaton United. After hanging up his boots, Reg remained in football for a few years as a manager before focusing his career on setting up centres for young people in Derby.
Harrison started in the Derby Leisure Services as a leader at Stockbrook community centre before moving to Chesapeake and later Field Lane. As well as his exploits for the city’s premier footballing side, Reg also dedicated much of his life to developing grass roots football in Derby and established football teams at each of the community centres where he worked. Many of those who fondly share memories of Reg today remember a humble and passionate man who gave assistance and support on and off the pitch while dedicating his life to improving local communities. His achievements were honoured by Derby City Council in 2019 when Reg was awarded the Freedom of the City of Derby. A great testament to his legacy is that all of those clubs established by Reg are still flourishing today.
To recognise the work of Reg and his importance to football in Derby, Rams Heritage Trust are launching a crowdfunding campaign for the people of Derby to recognise his life’s work. To achieve this goal, we have commissioned sculptor Andy Edwards to craft a one-and-a-fifth x life-sized bust of Reg Harrison which will sit proudly beside the entrance to Field Lane Football Club, one of the clubs founded by Reg in 1982 and close to the family home in Alvaston where Reg resided until his passing on 17 September 2020. Andy has worked on similar memorial projects in the past with his most famous works including the Steve Bloomer bust and Dave Mackay and Clough & Taylor statues at Pride Park Stadium. We are incredibly passionate about creating a lasting and visible memorial to Reg for generations of Derbeians to enjoy and are very confident that Andy will create a fitting tribute to a local legend. The bust will sit on a 5ft plinth provided by local construction entrepreneur and Rams fan Ian Hodgkinson.
The fundraising target for the campaign is £8,000 which will cover the cost of the bust’s manufacture and installation. Fundraising will commence on Friday 16 October. Any funds raised over the target amount will be split between Field Lane FC, to fund development of the club, and to Rams Heritage Trust to commit to futurememorial projects.

    About Field Lane Football Club
Field Lane Football Club is a non-profit making organisation, run by volunteers, for the benefit of children and young adults, who wish to pursue the sport of competitive football. I'll also drive him back after a couple of months of his crap.

Only succeeded temporarily because of Clough's signings? So how did he take Nigel Pearson's Derby to near the play offs? Did Ranieri only win the league because of Pearson? Maybe they were only good signings by Nigel because Mac jumped them up half the league?
His first season we got club record points. His second season we made a mess off after injuries. His third time he took over from Pearson. So you have based it on one season where we lost Martin, Bent, Thorne, Eustace, Mascarell and had to play Forsyth at CB v Brentford.
Can you name his poor signings, please? Most were free or youth players. He only really laid out for Thorne.
I mean, I'm not calling for him back but I'm sticking up for what he did because it was fun as duck

I wonder what people were thinking when Clough signed him on loan in the 12/13 season, what was it 15 games 2 goals, and an absolutely awful haircut. Clough was playing him on the left hand side ??‍♂️
Who would’ve called it then that he’d go on to be the best striker we’ve had in 20 years!   I also agree with Leicester Ram in the type of players we have in the team and particularly the lack of pace in the team means he’s no longer the best option. Clearly we’ve offered him what we felt we could and he’s found a better deal elsewhere and in going to Bristol he’s going to a club at the same level. Fair play to him and hope it works out.  I’m not going to criticise Derby either - we’ve got to do what is best for the club, and they feel they can’t accommodate him for anything more than what we offered.
It is a sad day and it is very much the end of an era, with only Fozzy left now from that McClaren team. However players come and go - I wanted to watch Eranio Baiano Stimac Wanchope Poom and Sturridge forever. It can’t happen unfortunately.
However I’m looking forward to the new era under Cocu, with Bird Bogle Lowe Knight Sibley Holmes Lawrence and Marriott - with hopefully a polish wing wizard to follow. Who is to say this era won’t eclipse the clough/mcclaren team and get over the line?
But all the best Chrissy. You will always be a Rams legend and eclipse most of the strikers we’ve had in my lifetime for the impact you’ve had on the club, probably only behind likes of Davison, Saunders, Goddard, Sturridge, Baiano, Wanchope but ahead of Gabbiadini Johnson Kitson Strupar (only due to injury) Christie, Rasiak, Howard - that ain’t bad!!
