    Pleased for you as a fanbase - you've had to suffer enough!
    Also on a personal (selfish) note as it means the city I live in continues to have an EFL football club, and a big one at that. I've enjoyed some fantastic days at Pride Park since I've lived here.
    Not so pleased that it sounds like you might be in a position to sign on players much quicker than it was looking like!
    I suppose if you beat us on opening day, the banter from the in-laws and friends will be over nice and early!

    I didn't realise how much this was affecting me. I was convinced I wasn't that bothered. I've lost my grandmother last week and have other issues and thought there were more important things in life.
    I'm not too ashamed or masculine to admit that after reading those Clowes press release snippets on Twitter, I realised my eyes had welled-up a little and I have let out a massive sigh. I now want to have a celebratory drink and put this nightmare behind me.
    I am however realistic enough to know that the football side could well be a struggle for a few years, and I have no expectations, but to know that my home-city club, a club I followed home and away for most of my adult life, a club that I committed thousands of pounds to over the years, a club that has made me laugh, smile, groan and sob, will continue to exist means a lot to me personally.
    Cheers boys and girls.

    It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he's stepped forward in order to untangle this messy web of Administration/Quantuma/Morris with the intention of just getting things moving in the right direction on & off the field, reuniting the club & stadium, with a view to selling on to Appleby Group / Ashley / Morgan / Other within 12 months, if they represent a better opportunity for the club to progress.

    As a Derby based Oxford fan - there was of course two fixtures I was particularly looking out for.
    And sods law, I'm on holiday for the first game of the season. Gutting.

    We haven't played you since April 1994 and therefore have never played at Pride Park, so I'd expect us to bring a decent following, though the early away game followings are always affected by school holidays.
    This league is really tough to call this season. Ipswich and Sheff Weds have strengthened really really well. MK, Pompey, Bolton, Wycombe will all go again. I expect all 3 relegated sides to do well when you guys are eventually allowed to sign players. The 'underdog' type status really seemed to work for Rooney's style last season so I would expect it to do so again.
    We haven't done anything yet which is a big concern having lost a couple of players and a third expected to join Burnley in the next few days.

    Ridiculous tournament with little interest for most fanbases until the semi-finals (as can be seen by the massive drop in crowds for these fixtures). A lot of fans still boycott it for the fact the U21 sides are in it.
    Our 7 lowest ever home crowds for a competitive fixture have come in this tournament (lowest being 929 v Northampton) as well as the lowest crowd we've ever played in front of for a competitive fixture (Exeter away - 483).

    There was nothing wrong with the tournament and then they decided to add the U21 sides in. Add in the selection rules ('Full Available Strength') and financial penalties if you don't adhere to them.

    ‘Full Available Strength’ means the EFL Club must include at least four Qualifying Players in the ten outfield Players named in the starting eleven on the Team Sheet.
    7.4 Qualifying Player means any Player who:
    7.4.1 had started the immediately preceding First Team Fixture;
    7.4.2 subsequently starts the immediately following First Team Fixture;
    7.4.3 is in the list of ten Players at the Club with the highest number of starting appearances in First Team Fixtures in the same Season;
    7.4.4 has made forty or more starting appearances in First Team Fixtures or international equivalents (and not limited to the same Club or Season);
    or 7.4.5 is on standard loan from a Premier League Club or any EFL Club operating a Category One Academy.

    Luke McNally. Rejected 2 bids thus far. But suggestions are a third is in the right ballpark. Fly out to Spain today for a pre-season training camp so will be interesting to see if he features on any of the pictures. If not, basically confirms he is gone.

    There were two opinions on him in Oxford's research into him last summer: a medical one, and a coaching one. There were concerns expressed by extremely qualified people that his body has simply broken down, and that years of being constantly injured and a lack of activity and general fitness had taken a toll. Unfortunately what we indeed saw was a man who kept picking up different injuries, and who couldn’t train hard enough over a three month break to get anywhere near fitness.
