What an absolute bunch of whinging cry babies some of you are.

Disappointing but some of the reactions are, as usual, a little OTT.
Even with all our massive constraints and limitations, and DC’s desire to run the club sustainably (something some fans don’t really want to see because it means we have to live within  our means and not fritter money away) it’s still a little surprising there’s not a soul out there who could come in and do a job. But hey ho. Maybe we just don’t have the cash or pulling power. I’m not going to start slagging the club off over it. We got to spitting of autos with what what we have. Going to be tricky to do the next step without that extra striker, but who knows. Not the end of the world. 

I agree. Nobody would card about selling Bird if he weren't an academy graduate. If we'd signed him from Rotherham 3 years ago, we'd be happy to offload him for a fee.

From his RTV interview appears the iron was in the fire for a couple of months before the deal was done. Maybe, just maybe the recruitment team aren’t playing FIFA/Royal Kingdom all day…….😜

Wait what? Another puts a shift in midfielder as opposed to technical player?
I would call Hourihane and Bird technical (and too similar) players and our midfield lacks someone who can run around a bit.

Sounds like this one has been in the pipeline for a while but we probably wanted to keep the interest low-key to avoid any rivals becoming interested
