Understandably there’s a need for caution, and I’ve already noticed posters on here and online voicing doubts and concern….but we can be cautiously optimistic can’t we? 
He is a wealthy man, willing to attempt a takeover of this stricken club. He might not be as wealthy as Mike Ashley but neither is Appleby right? And CK definitely wasn’t. At least we know he is a legitimate businessman with legitimate wealth, something he will be able to evidence to the EFL. As some other posters have mentioned his wealth shouldn’t be the defining factor in his potential stewardship of the club anyway, the club NEEDS to be ran sensibly after the last few years and will have to work to EFL imposed restrictions so sorting the stadium and the debts then carefully rebuilding the club on a budget is the ideal scenario in my opinion. 
I mentioned it in another post, he’s well placed to action the takeover sooner than other parties having already (allegedly) done the work to buy the stadium, any other bidder would be weeks behind in the process for this.
I’m hopeful we’ll get official word tomorrow and things will start to progress further next week. 

Surely….. surely we can’t have 4 failed takeovers. This has to be the one now, I have to believe it for my own sanity. 

I'm sorry, but it feels like if a consortium of Rooney, Clough and Wanchope made an offer people would be critical.  I have a bottle of bubbly, and if this is confirmed it is going into ice.  I, frankly, don't care who the new owner is - so long as WE survive. 
This guy doesn't own Sports Direct, he is not an American charlatan, he has his wealth in the UK, so no US money laundering.  He actually supports the club.  We might be adrift in the ocean, but we have just spotted a small vessel with the British Ensign.  
Nothings done until there is ink on paper, but at least the printer is going to being switched on.

Snippet of skysports news running the story. Mentions Appleby and Morgan still in negotiations and that they’ve been told Ashley’s bid is the lowest. Not sure if that refers to previous info around bids as current news is both Appleby and Ashley have £50m ready to go, maybe Appleby has an extra fiver on top ? 

I now do not believe any stories in the media. I am old by enough to remember Tim Ward as manager but cannot take yet another let doen because some journalist wants clicks on his story Had enough of it

I assume this means they are now at the stage of the owners and directors checks by the EFL
