And China value human (or animal) life?
There are plenty of truly disturbing videos on t'internet showing you how the Chinese have treated their population and pets during the pandemic. I won't post any here and don't suggest you go looking unless you're not easily upset.
Whilst the UK Govt, and most Govts to be fair have made mistakes throughout the past couple of years, the very minimum we should expect is to be able to hold our authorities to account. If we sign up to this treaty we will be at the mercy of unelected officials impossible to remove from office and those that fund the WHO that might have a very different view of human and animal life to us not to mention a different world agenda.

I've been a Derby fan for 40yrs, there is more to life than The Premiership.
It would be nice to get there but do I want umpteen years of the misery that Newcastle fans went through?

When does @David change the forum background to that of the USA flag in honour of our new American overlord?!?
Finally, the years of tyranny and misery of the previous ownership is over. Today, we celebrate our Independence Day ?

I'm not sure why anyone would want Mike Ashley tbh, he proved at Newcastle that he's not there for the love of football or the fans - just cold hard cash to line his pockets.
'Under Ashley, this became a zombie club, an illusion of life.'

'Former Newcastle owner Mike Ashley spent less on infrastructure than any other Premier League club over the past decade - and less than a third of what the second-lowest spending club spent.'

To make money off us I assume he will run the academy down, let the stadium fall into disrepair and penny pinch wherever he can. He might get us into the Premiership but at what cost? He clearly doesn't give a hoot about saving us, just acquiring us for the lowest price possible and exploiting us to make as much as he can. Newcastle fans didn't protest his ownership for no good reason.
Hopefully Chris Kirchner will get the deal done, all misty-eyed backing Rooney and investing in the academy as promised. Football is all about hopes and dreams, I might be in a minority but I'd rather take the slow road back feeling connected to my club than line the pockets of Ashley and experience soulless matchdays.

Tony Finn, 64, claimed he had been a victim of sexual harassment when his manufacturing firm colleague said he was a “bald c***”.
So if he had dropped the bald it would have been ok? ?

I understand and agree with the referendum bit but we should not sign up to it anyway.
The WHO are an unelected body with substantial funding from Pharmaceutical corporations.
I suppose its down to trust, I'm old and cynical and I believe the Pharma Corps will act in their own interest above any altruistic public health concerns.
So, no, I don't want them to be able to order countries to do their bidding but I'm afraid not many countries will be brave enough to say no to them - depends what sort of lobbying of our elected representatives goes on behind the scenes.

There is not an awful lot in the press about it tbh, we could sign up to it without most knowing about it.
