  1. 12 days in Germany for the group stages of the Euro's.

Going to base ourselves in Dusseldorf at the start until we see where the draw places us and rail around Germany on the 49Euro monthly ticket.

I've applied for tickets via the uefa ballot but apparently the 4 games in Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Cologne are over subscribed by 3m people.......

I'm very out of touch, with pretty much everything I think. Having enjoyed a lot of the rugby world cup games on TV, I thought it'd be good to go and watch a game. Back in the mid 70s up to the early 80s, I used to go and watch Gloucester RFC several times a season. Rugby was quite a different sport then.

Anyway, nearest premiership side to me is Northampton. So, onto the website, which is brilliant, pick a game, buy tickets etc. Let's you choose your seat, so I picked a block about level with the 22 metre line. £68 each. So if me and her go, £136 before petrol, parking , food etc. Thought I'd done something wrong, so tried another block , same price. Even behind the posts was £48 each. That's for a mid season run of the mill game.

So, I was wondering what it costs , as a one off ticket , to go to a test match at Lord's for example. Or a day at the Open championship? Wimbledon? Spurs v Man city? GP at Silverstone? Heavyweight fight at a London stadium?

I'm sure there's folk on here who go to watch sport other than DCFC , so just wondered how much it costs !

£120 per ticket Wales v Scotland 6 nations in Feb. That's the mid range price.

On the other hand I paid 13 euros to see Eintracht Frankfurt v Aberdeen in the Conference league last month.standing 13 euros, seating 20 euros.

League cup semi final on Saturday £28 flat rate at Hampden.

I think the 'current plan' needs needs stowing in the 2003 holdall. We don't have a pack like SA so we might as well stop trying to ape them. The Kiwis were the better side in the final and they have shown a blueprint for beating the 'power' sides, by simply moving them around, but to do that, you must put the ball through hands. Players like Arundell and Cadan Murphy need to be in our side, otherwise we have no attacking threat and rely on kicking a few pens and defending like maniacs. That's not a sensible plot.

For once I agreed with Flatman on Friday night.

He compared Arundell to Telea in the semi final as a winger who went looking for work and made a difference to NZ attacking options.

Arundell needs to play as much 6 nations games as possible next year, he could be the game breaker you've been looking for.

Another battling performance. England are not pretty to watch but they are much tougher to beat now. Their tackling has been immense. I just wish we had more faith in our backs. The plan seems to be to take the hit and wait for the forwards.

Arundell doesn’t fit in this set-up. We never pass the ball through the back line. The only chances he will get will be on the blind side where he’ll have to run back in to the pitch to get help.

Steward is our best full back. Ford is our best attacking fly half (Farrell is the pragmatic choice). I can’t see a place for Marcus Smith.

We need to find a scrum half to set the tempo and pick big strong wingers who will be trusted with the ball more than the speedy littluns.

Pretty much agree with all the above.

The current game plan doesn't allow for any flair or risk to be taken, its all very methodical.

Can't really remember phase after phase of backs and forwards play. Hate to say it, but Farrell after 3 or 4 phases tends to either launch it skywards or put through a grubber and momentum is lost.

No 10 is the problem that Borthwick needs to sort out.

Smith looked lost last night and was targeted and smashed by the Argie back line. Can't see him playing there in the 6 nations apart from Italy maybe.

One thing I'll tip my hat towards England for is that in all of their big games in this tournament they made sure they got a fast start and put points on the scoreboard to put teams under pressure.

It would have been interesting to see them try to come back from say a 10 point deficit and if their style of play would've  changed.

Onto tonight, I don't really care who wins, as long as its close and exciting.

    Netenyahu says revenge starts tonight.

Terrorist scum. War criminal and zionist invader.

With support from Genocide Joe and of course Britain like a good little doggy follow obediently with whatever America orders.

The "Hamas Israel War" where thousands of innocent Palestinians are killed by association for not leaving a prison.

Revenge for 40 beheaded babies (no proof), mass rape (no proof), burning people alive (no proof). The 5,000 dead was not enough for Israel. That was just warming up.

"But the Holocaust!!" is the defence as they carry Apartheid.

"But anti-Semitism" is the cry when they go on a genocidal rampage.

From Atomic bombs to Gulf Of Tonkin incident to Agent Green and Napalm strikes to false WMD claims to proxy wars supporting terrorists to providing arms to IS to funding a $3.8b war via a colony on the Middle East.

Next time you hear some war monger stood Infront of stars and Stripes in a country with such inequality, such high murder rates, where you can't be sure your children won't be gunned down by an assault rifle.... next time you do hear "democracy and freedom. God Bless America" try to hold in the vomit.

Manifest Destiny isn't over. Empire building isn't dead

    It's all very sad.

Innocent people die and Governments don't care.

Dread to think what Gaza looks like tomorrow

  6. The original reason for HS2 was to clear the existing rail lines for freight, which in turn should have taken Vehicles off the motorway network.

In theory, less traffic, less pollution and goods getting from North to South and vice versa in a quicker time.

It's been financially mis managed from the start.

They've been paying machine operators and ground workers almost double what our equivalents get paid. We lost loads of people lured by the £ and less responsibility.  Can't blame them for going.

Saffas worthy winners, but 3 points a very meagre return for the effort from the Scots. They'll need to bring their A-game for the Ireland match which is now an absolutely huge tie, but I fancy a less lopsided game there if this has not taken too much out of the Scots who have an excellent 1st 15, but perhaps not the strength in depth of the very top sides.

Agree, the SA defence was tremendous.

Only crumb of comfort for Scotland is that SA play Ireland the week before the Scotland game and they may knock seven bells out of each other.....

South Africa having the best of the first half but not much to show for it on the scoreboard at 6-3.

We've stood up physically, but I think they've got a stronger bench unfortunately.

  9. Good effort from England tonight. That performance has been long overdue. 👏

Massive missed opportunity for the Argies.

I thought the Aussies looked decent, and perhaps Ireland have timed their pre world cup preparations better than I thought by regarding the Romania game as a warm up.

As for tomorrow, I'd take the boks to win by +15 points, and Wales to beat Fiji.

Started watching thinking the series was the most recent but it's Series 1 - but now hooked and see I've something like 26 episodes to catch up on.

What is the correct order please, as per the Netflix numbering?

I fell into the trap and watched them out of order.

As @Comrade 86 says above those are thr release dates.

If it helps, series 1 and 2 are called Top boy- summerhouse. I think channel 4 produced them.

Netflix used to have them listed separately from their own production of Top boy, series 3 to 5, I'd like to think they are all under the 1 banner nowadays.

Recently turned down a move to Bolton (not that I play him). Decent player. One of two good Aussie's going a bit under the radar in the SPFL at the moment (Kye Rowles being the other one).

Think Bolton agreed a £300k deal with St Mirren for Baccus.

I suspect he'll be championship bound either in this window or the next.

  12. I thought Lewis Capaldi set was good but boy is he struggling mentally.

His Netflix doc sums up his struggles and I thought they came across on stage today.

Fair play to him for turning up and getting through it. 👍

Leighton Clarkson, liverpool happy to sell him this summer, 6 goals and 8 assists from midfield last year at Aberdeen, he’s only 21 could be a good knight replacement if he leaves, QPR and Reading are reportedly interested in him.

Gone to Aberdeen on a 4 year deal.

    I really liked Roos.

If he could claim crosses and command his area, he would have easily been Prem quality. So it doesn't surprise me at all to see him doing well in the SPL.

He still doesn't claim crosses or command his area.

What he does have is 2 centre backs that love heading and attacking the ball.

It leaves Roos to concentrate on his positioning and making saves in and around his 6 yard box.

Thought I'd just create a single thread rather than doing the separate tournament thing. The reason for today being that for any other egg-chasing fans, the Leinster vs La Rochelle European Rugby Champions Cup final is now on terrestrial TV and not just BT Sport - ITV 4.00pm for anyone who is interested. It's going to be brutal!

Don't really watch club rugby but I was glued to it after 30 mins.

    What a last 10 mins.

Must admit I was glad LR won because I'm a bit bored (jelous) of the Ireland / Leinster love in recently.

It might just sow a seed of doubt in the Ireland camp for the World cup.

As for Glasgow the night before.....they didn't turn up.

Might be to expensive, but Kevin Nisbet from hibs, after a move to millwall broke down in January he’s kind of tailed off, he has one year left on his contract now would maybe be around 600k, but I think would guarantee goals at this level,

Hibs won't budge for anything under £2m. They don't need the cash after they sold Porteous in January. P

If he leaves he will end up in the championship or a club in the top division like Belgium or Italy.

He might stay at Hibs if they finish 3rd, which guarantees group stages in Europe.

Had Sky Sports on in the background with the live Saturday roundup, and was surprised to hear the reporter say "a billiant save by Kelle Roos". Apparently playing for Aberdeen, third in the Scottish Premiership (a long way back) and on the fringes of European football.

Saved a pen towards the end to gain a crucial point on the push towards Europe.
