Awful half - even worse than usual which is not surprising seeing we have no recognised striker.
Warne said he wouldn’t bring anyone in who didn’t improve the squad - I think we might regret that.

Gaffer, we've not got any strikers and the 3 lads you've put up front aren't massive fans of heading the ball ... do you think it might be an idea to change our usual tactic of just get it out wide and crossing it?

It would be funny if it wasn’t true. All the excitement and momentum from Tuesday lost by playing a stupid and new formation in my view. 

You can tell this is a lower league game by the state of the pitch, the football on show and the fact most of our players’ shirts were covered in mud after about 20 minutes.

I'm so unbelievably frustrated with the situation (shock horror) DCFC signing old men up front with dodgy injury records = no fit strikers.  Warne won't name a striker from the academy in the squad. Reality is this club will not be sustainable long-term without using the academy and selling some of them on at a profit because we are turd at scouting for other players with potential. Warne is very bad for this club long-term even if he gets them up in the short-term. The other thing is signing Wash is as bad as the dodgy PPE contracts from the government in my book, the man is not fit for purpose and stealing a living from his mate Warne. 

Would love to be made to eat humble pie later…. By why oh why does PW see how well we function with a midfield three including a great Adams, only to ditch the system in such an important game ?? Ok, Thommo isn’t CH but…… 🤷🤷

We’re looking lost in the final third. No options when there’s someone in a good position.

Strange that in the situation we’re in you wouldn’t put an attacker from the academy on the bench.

You, and Warne, may be absolutely right Crewton. 3 points is the target and I hope we get them, but this is another game that doesn’t bode well for any decent football. As well as packing our back line with sturd, we again seem very happy to concede midfield before a ball is kicked.  Enjoy the game. I will save my money for tomorrows highlights package.

He shouldn't have signed John Jules for a start, same with Embleton. That isn't a Captain Hindsight comment from me, you will see I had concerns about their fitness when we signed them.  They were both risks which have cost us money and backfired.
Waghorn & Washington both have a poor history when it comes to fitness.
Collins it just unlucky if it turns out he is out for the season.
But seeing as 4 of the strikers in our squad are injured more often than not, then yes, he needs to be preparing for his striking department to be depleted.
Here is a start......Don't send anyone out on loan!
