I'm not sure if it's a wind up, because when people what day is it on the 6th June, they should be ashamed.
Today is the anniversary of 'D-Day' the start of the liberation of Europe from the Nazi's. Without those brave Allied servicemen & women, my father, a Polish enforced slave labourer, based in Normandy, would probably not have survived the war.
The sacrifice they gave on that day and the next 11 months cannot be overlooked.

Of course she does, ever since she popped up North to open Pride Park, she's always looked out for our results.

I lived and worked in the United Arab Emirates for 14 years (6 years in Abu Dhabi & 9 years in Dubai), and I can assure you all religions and cultural festivities such as Eid-Al Fitr (after Ramadan) for Muslims; Christmas & Easter for Christians and Diwali for Hindu's were celebrated.
The Christmas trees and lights that they put up in the hotels and shopping malls are better than in Oxford Street, London, and every restaurant offers special Christmas Day lunches.
In the 14 years we were in the UAE, we only returned home twice at Christmas as we had a better time, and nearly every Christmas we had some family or friends joining us in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

Many, many years ago, (when I was very young) I did some contract work on the Heysham nuclear power station, just a couple of miles up the road, but lodged in Morecambe.
It was a bit rough in the 1970's/80's with many places either closed; run-down or derelict, but since the Midland Hotel re-opened and they've removed the damaged pier, it's a much better place.
The winters were very cold, especially when the wind and rain came off Morecambe Bay and the Irish seas, but the ladies were very accommodating in keeping me warm!!!

I just don't care what other club fans think. We've been through the grinder for the past 2 years and yet Derby County Football Club lives on.
We have survived and will go on, possibly to better and higher things. Perhaps not this year, or next, but this could be the start of a beautiful renaissance.
    Let the season begin!!!
