Liam Thompson was substituted at HT but just a ‘dead leg’ according to Pat Lyons so should be back in a week or so…

Was at the game tonight. It's a tough watch at times as we lack experience and our game management is poor. 
We have players with good ball skills,  but Cashin and Dixon excepted, we lack physicality. When we threatened through midfield, they fouled us. Nice and early! If we'd done the same it wouldn't have placed Cashin in that situation at the end (although his earlier tackle was borderline red card anyway).
Leeds nobbled Thompson twice  early on, which didn't help. Not punished of course and the ref spoke to their number nine three times before he booked him.
I am a bit relieved to read about the mismatch in fees for the respective teams, but we will presumably be up against similar set ups throughout the season.
This Embargo is affecting much more than our first team. 
Bright points - Thompson pre- injury, Borkovic, Dixon, Cashin for 80 minutes. 

Previous game too. Think he's basically been a big lad in small teams and now he's not. Could be wrong but there doesn't seem that much about him.

It looks like the under 23s game is going ahead tomorrow evening as we have had an email about attending the match at Loughborough (free to season ticket holders.) 

I think they have closed the whole academy for 2 weeks, 4-6 in the 18s are positive and also quite a few 23s, they've all been mixing in different training groups so I'm not sure if some of the players that played last night will also be affected

Exactly @Boycie it’s just the negotiating the finer points is underway I agree. 

Come on, if anyone thinks we’re going to submit the accounts tomorrow after having an extension are deluded.
In my opinion the accounts are in, it’s the wrangling that’s taking the time.

I know someone who works within football  who also told me that they had also heard we'd be out of our embargo this week, so positive news

If true, I would make job number one to extend Jag and Balds contracts pronto !

Apparently a few players in the 18s have Covid or are self isolating which meant even less players to choose from which is why 16s were used.

A disgusting challenge, especially in the 7th minute of the game. No idea how he has gotten away with that, ball or not, that's a shocker.

I don’t understand referees. Even if the fella took the ball, that to me, looked like ‘excessive force’ which needs to be stamped out. 

At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man - was it a surprise to Brighton that we’re playing in white shirts and black shorts ? Add to that watching on a lap top - and this is a challenge ! 

Bright start but Tyree Wilson has gone down with what looks like a serious injury.
