Old Spalding Ram got a reaction from Reggie Greenwood in Match Thread: vs Bolton (A)
Pinched from the Bolton forum.
I don't think Derby are anything special so get the first goal and set the game up nicely.
…………………I’m sure I read the same cunning plan last week on the Posh forum.🐏😂

Would we see him as an impact sub?
I’m assuming Fornah is a starter, Hourihane the Undroppable Sex Machine (as PW sees him) will always start and we have Bird to come back as well as Thompson.
If Vaulks comes it complicates the situation even further.
Similarly up front I can see a fit J-J pressing for a starting berth, ousting maybe Wash.
I’m struggling to see how we’ll keep Ward and Wilson involved as neither is suited to a 4-3-3.

The first 2 clearances off the line were before that, we were already on the rack. At one point we played with a a back 4 and 2 wing backs which invited pressure as you say but we were already under the cosh. I think if they had had a week with us, he'd have brought the 2 ew signings on 15 minutes earlier, which would have helped.

The ref does seem to have done pretty well. Even this bit from the Peterborough local paper (which is a good read about the match) agreed:
https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/peterborough-united/peterborough-united-played-a-big-part-in-a-great-game-but-now-face-a-nervous-week-and-why-are-we-booing-former-players-4270238
and says (for those who'll complain about the link and the ads):
"Referee Smith was excellent yesterday and it’s baffling what upset Ferguson so much he was shown two yellow cards in quick succession. The second appeared to be brandished because he sarcastically applauded the first caution with a zealous fourth official eager to dob the boss in, but it would have been good to hear Ferguson’s version of events. Sadly daft EFL rules ban red-carded managers from conducting post-match press conferences which is more of a reward than a punishment for a manager with tough questions to answer."

True. Reminded me of the good days when football was played by men and good hard tackling was allowed. He key a lot go that most other refs would have stopped the game for and the match was all the better for it. He let both sides get on with it.
Red card to Ferguson was just the cherry on the cake .

Sat in the A block of the main stand, toilets bordering on primitive, refreshments non existent and the most uncomfortable minuscule 1950s wooden seats ever encountered!
But then again, a 4-2 win, great atmosphere, improved performance all round and a couple of promising young lads making their debuts……………..all in all a bloody good day out! 😁👍

The low angled shot he saved with his feet.

It was correct at the time. We were awful for 25 minutes, our first goal changed the game for 25 minutes.
This harassing of other posters is getting ridiculous.

Old Spalding Ram got a reaction from SKRam in Tyreece John-Jules - joined on a 6-month loan, extended to end of season
This is my reply to a post by Ambitious on the summer thread who recommended this lad about a month ago.
Seems obviously cheesed off from continuous loans.
Like you say ex clubs supporters and managers seem to like the lad so it is rather surprising how nobody’s been interested in signing him permanently.
Anyway, I read an article in the East Anglia Times taken from the Beautiful Game Podcast, seems to sum up his career so far.
Since I was 17/18, every season I've had a big injury.
I played one game at Sheffield Wednesday. I came on and in the first two minutes I got injured (quad).
At Ipswich I had back-to-back injuries (hamstring and quad). I missed six months of the season, so it's be tough to say the least.
The second injury came on the last day of my hamstring rehab. The next day I had been due to train with the team.
When that happened my head was gone. I didn't know what to do. Thankfully my family were there to pick me up.
It's been bad. All the time questioning myself. 'What am I doing wrong?' 'What do I need to change?'
This can't keep happening. I can't keep having month after month of not playing.
Shame really……………wish him well.
would be an excellent signing if he stayed fit.👍
