  1. Stay off the thread then. 😀
  2. Surely you’d still be liable for the outstanding finance on the car in your example? You can’t just walk away from such a debt simply because you don’t have the car any more.
  3. Part of our latest amortisation wheeze don't you know. 😀
  4. All a matter of opinion. He had his faults (there aren’t many players that don’t) but I’m with @BramcoteRam84. On the whole he did a good job for us.
  5. Quite probably but surely our recent history has taught us one thing - spending the most money doesn’t necessarily equate to promotion.
  6. Knowing how they've treated us in the past (some of it justified before we get accused of having a persecution complex), if it was abandoned after 16 minutes with Reading 1:0 up they'd probably award them the 3 points.
  7. Exactly. Can’t expect to win every game so 10 wins in 13 is a pretty good return. We just need to make sure it doesn’t turn into something like 12 wins out of 18.
  8. I posted on another thread that it’s completely at the EFL’s discretion whether the points are awarded without a replay or the game is replayed in full or in part. For the integrity of the competition, and to avoid other clubs potentially being disadvantaged, I think the only scenario in which a replay (full or part) wouldn’t be ordered is if there was absolutely nothing riding on the result (a La the Blackpool game that was abandoned). Maybe if the innocent club were 3 or 4 goals up with only a matter of minutes to play could be another scenario.
  9. He/she hasn’t said they don’t like Derby, just that they were profoundly unimpressed with our performance yesterday. I suspect that now @Dcfcsr92 has had a chance to sleep on it and calm down, their comments might be a tad more measured. How many of us can genuinely claim not to have posted a comment or replied to another’s in the heat of the moment and later realised (but probably not admitted) that we perhaps been a little over the top? I know I have.
  10. We weren’t at our best but not quite as diabolical and out played as you seem to be implying. As I was suggesting earlier, it strikes me that the pain you’re feeling is perhaps a little excessive. Sleep on it and see if you feel quite so angry in the morning.
  11. They created the better chances but if you think they were “great” and we got “battered” I suspect you don’t watch much football. Strikes me that you’re having a bad day or something buddy. My advice would be to hold off posting anything else until tomorrow when the dust has settled. Advice I wish I’d taken a few times in the past.
  12. Eh? Sorry, I’m not sure what you’re saying.
  13. Depends on how you define clear cut chances. We did create a few but we didn’t do enough with them to really trouble their keeper. As for “could have lost 3:0 or 4:0 easily” well we didn’t and that’s all that matters. The one Cashin cleared off the line - well that’s what good defenders are meant to do when faced with that situation. The only chance they really fluffed was when the chap with the funny hair cut was through on Vickers and put it over. ”could have lost 3:0 or 4:0 easily” makes it sound like we were played off the park. We weren’t and a draw was probably a fair result.
  14. I would imagine all the play off contenders will reflect on games they’d rather not replicate.
  15. Not sure if you’re making a joke and I’ve fallen for it but, assuming you’re not - the fact the crowd applauded on the 16th minute.
  16. Sorry. I really don’t see the point. It would have zero impact and be forgotten about by the 18th minute.
  17. We’re going off topic here but I’m 100% with @Jimbo Ram on this one. It keeps the season alive and interesting longer for a lot more teams. I accept it would feel galling and inequitable if a team finished third - just short of the auto’s and a long way ahead of the the teams below them lost in the play offs but I’m OK with that (provided said team finishing third isn’t Derby of course 😀). perhaps the balance of power could be given back to the teams finishing 3rd and 4th by playing the semi finals over one leg only - with the 3rd and 4th place teams playing at home. It will of course never happen but, if you wanted to be really whacky, they could copy the final game of Gladiators with a head start (one, two or three goal lead depending on how far ahead of the team you’re playing you finished). 😂. A silly idea I know before anyone tells me. I’m just having a laugh.
  18. Reasonable gesture but doesn’t alter the fact that if a PV fan wants to watch the game completed (and went to the abandoned game) it will cost them 2 x travel costs plus 1.5 x ticket price. As @Mucker1884 jokingly asked, do we want a statue?
  19. So, if I’m reading it correctly, 50% off the price of the rearranged match if the game is abandoned after kick off and the club isn’t liable for any costs incurred by supporters. I imagine Port Vale fans are well chuffed with that. They can go to the replay for half price but it will cost them their travel costs again. Nice one Reading fans. I’m all for solidarity against the EFL and unsuitable owners but not at the expense of supporters of other clubs.
  20. I don’t like the song much but it “works” because it’s easier for folk to sing along to. Same with “Sailing”. Not a great song and “we are Derby……” can be a bit repetitive and boring but it’s easier for everyone (or more people) to sing along to and build to a crescendo. It seems to be a sad phenomena - the worse the song the easier it is to get a crowd to sing along to 😀 I mentioned them playing “sailing” at the end of the game earlier in this thread. IF they really want to give it a go then it needs to be played as close to kick off as possible. My biggest issue with SBW (I don’t really object to the tune) is the transition into the singing part right at the start just doesn’t work.
  21. Pretty obvious I would imagine. A signing (or two) that he thought was nearing completion fell through for one reason or another.
  22. I’m confused. Are we playing Mansfield on Saturday then? I hope not as I’m driving up to Lincoln.😀
