Same for both teams though and Bradford are performing better on it than us so far.

Not sure it’s lack of effort. Just lack of composure and control. Hopefully we’ll settle down and get a grip of the game.

I would imagine both clubs view it pretty much the same. Nowhere near a priority this season but a trophy they’d quite like to win (or at least get a trip to Wembley). So, I would expect both to field fairly strong squads (also taking into account the rules of the competition) but with a smattering of younger players, that are potentially close to breaking into the first team squad, possibly on the bench. Regarding their form, they have won three out of their last four away games and stand 7th in league 2 for away form season to date. I don’t watch much league two football so I have no idea if any of this is significant.

I reckon there are a good number of people that wear Derby scarves and/or hats but, as you suspect, black and white doesn’t stand out as much as other colours especially when a lot of people also wear black coats. At the end of the day though, do we really care that much how the crowd looks to other people especially on TV and even more so in a photo?

I don’t think there are any stand out candidates to win the league. Peterborough looked like the best team we’ve played when they came to Pride Park but not when we played them at their place. Portsmouth obviously started strongly but have stuttered a little recently. Maybe they’ll come good again. We’ve been on a good run without looking totally convincing in too many of those wins and Bolton have had the occasional hiccup. I also think there is too much of the season to rule out the likes of Barnsley for top two. Everything to play for and it could come down to who is best at recruitment/retaining players in the January window or even down to unfortunate injuries. Winning the league would be great but I’d be more than happy with top two.

Nah. He’s useless and seriously overrated. Not worthy of any interest to other clubs. Spread the word. 😉

I first came across the story listening to a BBC podcast about it (back in 2020 or something). A truly shocking story (even allowing for elements added to the TV series for dramatic effect. I think there are more teams than just Bolton and Peterborough capable of beating us in this competition.

I'm not too proud to admit that I'm a glory hunter (if you can define getting to the final of this trophy as glory 😀). I've not been to any of the games in this competition but I'll be there at Wembley if we make it (hopefully to see them win there. Both of my previous visits have ended in defeats - against QPR and Villa).
