Frank hasn't let me down tonight. I know it won't be a popular opinion on here but I am really pleased for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp. Worthy champions.

They obviously deserve it and it would have been a shame for them if the season had been made null and void but, by and large, I don't really care about who wins the the Premier League. I know folk will point to what Leicester achieved but I can't see anything like that ever happening again anytime soon so it's a closed shop between Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea (maybe Arsenal again one day). I don't have any affection for any of those clubs.

Apart from last night's drab affair at Burnley, I'm more interested in the "lesser" matches shown on Pick TV.

Fair enough. But someone was asking 'is it worth watching'?

My point was its not helpful / accurate to compare it to Mr Blobby, which you obviously regard as similarly childish as the Inbetweeners.

But it's very much adult humour.

For me, it is incredibly crude and puerile but actually funnier and more relatable than 'Men Behaving Badly' which is the closest comparison I can think of.

You seem to be quite defensive of it and I'm not sure I'd describe it as "adult" humour.

It's all a matter of taste and this debate may help the enquirer decide whether to watch it or not. If I hadn't seen it before then, given the divided opinions, I probably watch an episode or two to give it a try which, is probably the sensible thing to do. Incidentally, my first post, in response to the original Enquiry didn't refer to Mr Bobby. I was just suggesting, not very successfully, that some things could be considered iconic but that doesn't make them good such as, Last of the summer wine and Allo Allo.

That's not really apt at all. Its nothing like Mr Blobby...that was for five year olds.

Inbetweeners is extremely vulgar teenage humour. More like the Young Ones than Mr Blobby.

Crass, stereo-typing, filth...with lots of catchphrases that have slipped into the vernacular.

I thought it was hilarious in bits.

12 years old, teenager. Only one year in it. So, I wasn't far out in my original comments that it's OK if you're a 12 year old.

Just not remotely my cup of tea.

    Are The Inbetweeners worth watching?

    NO NO NO NO NO.

    Not unless you're a 12 year old.

I stumbled across one by accident last week and couldn't believe how pathetic and immature it was.

Not sure if I'm made my views clear.

I tried to get into Better Call Saul a few years ago but I just found it a bit boring. Worth another go?

I found it a bit slow to start with but I stuck with it and thought it improved a lot (especially without Chuck - I don’t want to give the storyline away) but never reaches the heights of Breaking Bad.

Well, that's Breaking Bad done and dusted. Absolutely superb and the person who said "It gets better and better" - you are so right.

So, what to watch next? I think the missus is keen on stuff like Spooks and anything John Le Carre inspired, so it might be The Americans for the next mega-binge watch. Any other suggestions? We have both Prime and Netflix.

Why not give Fargo a go? both the film and the series. I can recommend both.

Better Call Saul - the obvious follow-up to Breaking Bad and fills in a lot of the back stories.....(oh and the Breaking Bad film "El Camino")

Agree about Better call Saul although, I seem to remember it started slowly.

For me, EL Camino, was one of the biggest disappointments of the year.

Only going with money I can afford to lose, approaching it as more of a bit of fun really..

I earn a good salary, Moodhoover territory, but I get a massive buzz out of making a couple of quid doing this. Sad I know but nowhere else to get my kicks at the moment. I also know my limitations and I know nothing about the markets really..

There’s nothing wrong with it, like other forms of Gambling, PROVIDED you keep it under control, limit your exposure to loss, are aware that you could lose everything you invest and don’t chase your losses.

Anyone like to dabble a bit? I have always liked the thought but it always seemed a balls ache to do. I've now found a simple app that makes this really easy.

Trading 212. I'm hooked now. Just stuck what I could afford to lose in there and it's simple as, no commission either.

Just be careful. Buying and selling shares is of course a form of gambling so you need to be strict with what you can afford to lose. If in doubt, watch the scene in Wolf of Wall Street where Matthew McConaughey explains to DiCaprio how it works.

When I worked for a bank I used to get bank shares through a share option scheme every year. Made a load of money when you could rely on bank shares and fortunately started to off load quite a few before the crash but, I still lost a lot when the share price plummeted 90%.

I'm running out of stuff now. I'm halfway through The Vietnam War but after that all I've got queued is Westworld 2/3 which I'm not even sure I wanna watch. Work is dead right now and my insomnia is back with a vengeance so I can murder an entire series in a day and some, no bother at all  ?

I just finished The Dictators Rulebook on Sky if you like a bit of history.

Alternatively, just starting episode 4 of The Swingers (you’ll be disappointed if you’re expecting something as raunchy as the name suggests) on 4OD. It’s in Danish which, like Dutch, isn’t the most soothing of languages in my opinion, but I’m finding it strangely compelling.

Started 'Stranger Things' a couple of nights ago, we've just finished season 2. The first season was really good, the second not as much but still enjoyable. Looking forward to what they are going to do with the third season (and beyond)

I enjoyed season 1 but only watched the first three episodes of season 2.

I thought kingsman 1 was amazing a perfect mix of James Bond meets Johnny English.

I’m not generally into slapstick and only watched K1. I wasn’t sufficiently entertained, amused or impressed to bother with K2.

To be honest though, I’m not a fan of either Johnny English or the later James Bond films.

All a question of personal taste. No one is right nor is anyone wrong.

On Friday I watched Kill Bill 1 (again). Provided you don’t take it remotely serious then IMO, a good film. As is KB2

Somewhere recently in another thread I explain my pathological hatred of caravans on the road.

Static dislike is just an old man remembering his childhood playgrounds now lost forever. The economy is interesting, and I'm talking Devon here, Water rates for locals are sky high due to the massive useage by tourists. They have hosepipe bans frequently but tourists are oblivious. Studies by tourism board showed caravan users, mobile and static, tend to bring their own food and drink, eat out fairly infrequently, and spend relatively little. Just clog up the roads and leave litter everywhere. There is a movement in the councils to limit future expansion in that sector.

I’m sure Devon would be even more idyllic and an even greater place to live than it is now if it wasn’t for the annual invasion but, I suspect there are many that rely on the tourist industry. A necessary evil for a lot of people I would think.

Only problem is they cover vast swathes of prime attractive countryside with square boxes and bring very little money into the local economy. I have relatives with a box in Devon and its very nice in itself, but I remember the woodland that was there before the 500 vans ruined the area.

Depends where they are I guess. The ones we go to, usually in France, don’t normally cover large areas. As I say, we avoid the large sites.

Also, I’m not sure about your comment about bringing very little money into the local economy. I bet there are many places that are really suffering whilst local sites are closed. Not just the site owners but also the local shops and tourist attractions. Unfortunately, the whole countryside isn’t what it used to be, not just because of caravan sites. Sounds a bit like you have a bitter personal experience which is fair enough.

    The Wrong Missy. 6/10

Low brow romantic comedy, with a gurning (Jim Carrey style) female lead.

Very definitely not my preferred viewing but it was actually funnier than I expected with a few laugh out loud moments.

Ridiculous, paper-thin plot and characters but just about passed the 90mins without becoming tiresome.

I started to watch it on Friday night. Maybe it improved but I gave up after half an hour. An awful film in my opinion. 2/10 (for the part I watched). I found the Actual Wrong Missy character quite tiresome after about five minutes.

    I actually found it deteriorated.

The first few were ludicrous but strangely entertaining in an over the top 'look how crazy we all are shagging and taking drugs' kind of way.

It then got turgid in a middle-classed navel gazing exercise of where it all went wrong.

You're confirmed my fears and I won't bother with the rest.
