Surely if no striker is coming in then Dajaune Brown has to return, just to provide an option at least 

Promotion from league 1 will never be easier than this season.
No clubs as big as Sheff Weds or Ipswich. Reading and Wigan both in disarray.
To fail in January, twice in 2 years would be such a shame. 
League 1 football next year and for the foreseeable.

Sorry but we’ve had all January to get a striker in!!
I know we have Waggy and Wash but does anyone really think they’ll play a lot this season now …will take both of them time to get up to speed and could cost us big time !!!

It does make sending Brown out on loan baffling. I'm pretty sure we've loaned people out to the National League outside of transfer windows before, so presumably we could simply have waited to have bodies in before agreeing a deal. Even when TJJ was fit, Brown was still also getting on the bench. An 18 year old academy product isn't the answer to our striking issues at this time, but he could have been one of the pieces in the jigsaw.

To be honest if it’s true the medical was for Ennis going to be difficult with what time is left to get a decent striker in ….i will be hugely disappointed if we don’t 

We absolutely need a striker having sent Brown out on loan. There's only three hours to go. If we were hoping for Ennis, as we should have been, but he's now gone, we should be ready with a back up. And I'm sure Reading will be grateful for the cash for Sam Smith. That's the obvious deal to get done as we simply need a body in the building, and it's way better than paying massively over the odds for some Sheff Wed has-been.

So not great news unfortunately, Niall Ennis was the player booked in today for a loan to buy. However he got a late bid and looks to be off to Stoke. Can only imagine we are scrambling around to find someone

If Bird thinks that Rams and Bristol city are going to be in the same division next year . Why on earth would you pick them over us?

A loan fee for a 32 year old striker who can’t get a game a championship side in the relegation zone would be up there with any of Morris stupid deals.

Again. You cannot have Bird for free when his contract with us ends - there is a compensation fee to be paid. This was supposedly why we wouldn't sell him as we'd get a good deal then anyway. I hoped it was because he might re-sign if we went up. More fool me.

If it's £2.5 mill not a single penny should go towards short term solution loans. All of that should go towards rebuilding the club with players under 25 on a permanent this coming summer.

That’s a fantastic deal if it’s 2.5m but please don’t give any of it to Wednesday ….no!!!
