I've heard rumours but I must say, Warne has been ruthless

Without disrespecting Conor as he has been a great influence and has definitely contributed on the pitch for us at times, we really need him to leave in order to free up much needed wages. 

Yes I don’t think he’s a LWB at all. Good defender but not dynamic or athletic enough going  forward from what I’ve seen. LB in a 4 or wide CB in 3, probably not first choice in either and definitely not in the latter

You'd get 9 assists playing in a team which scores so many from corners when you take every single one of them. Stats are nothing without context.
Legs have gone, he was a liability. We improved immensely when Warne finally realised it.

Id argue none of them are good enough for a serious championship side
foz.. love him.. bit part sure, but wouldnt want to rely on him over a season. Sibley … unpopular opinion im sure but id be worried about him against a semi decent champ winger, plus positionally he still has a lot to learn. But he is still young and learning himself and the role
elder.. meh… again wouldnt want to rely on him.
 
just depends on budget really in an ideal world id much rather see us with a proper wide outlet with a bit of an engine on them.

Matty James could be a solid, experienced squad option on a 1 or 2 year deal.
We need a few central midfielders, and some signings need to be experienced to deal with the step up. I think he’d be a good, low-risk addition.

I haven’t seen anything from Elder to suggest he’s a Championship player. Looks a bang average squad player to me.

Sibley won't be a full back in the championship.  Does at job at League 1 but isn''t switched on enough over 90 at that level. Elder is Mr Glass.  Forsyth is Moses grandad.  I can see us looking.

Josh Knights contract is up now, would definitely take him from Peterborough. Would be perfect in the middle or the right of a back three. Only 26 so not in his prime years just yet. Warne will definitely be looking at him as he’s 6 foot 3 and has 6 goals and 3 assists. He can also play in defensive midfield and right back. 

If Joe is off, then I'd be happy to see us sign this lad, if a deal can be done at sensible money. He's a very good prospect and I can see how this might be part of a strategy that shifts from signing players of a proven level, to bringing in players yet to reach their ceilings. A more speculative approach, if you like.
TBH, I'd assumed that Joe had not been offered terms simply because we had a season to finish and PW wanted to see how we fared before entering any negotiations. If our interest in Johansson is real (big if), then perhaps that assumption was wrong. 
As for the Adams chatter, I'd be signing him in a heartbeat too. Anything close to the £350K mark would be the proverbial no-brainer for yours truly.

I have mixed feelings on Warne. He's done well to get us up but let's be honest we were favourites and had in-built advantages. The championship will be a whole different monster and while Warne does have a track record in league 1 he doesn't really have one in the championship. We do need to temper our expectations i think. There's little chance of a tilt at the play offs and survival is the big priority. That might be difficult to take at first...  

I think the big issue is recruitment. We were a big pull in league 1 but in the championship we are less so and the squad needs significant additions. Who knows if Warne is the man but we should back him until otherwise.

Joel Randall of Peterborough would be on my list. Clever attacking midfield player who is still improving at 24.

A great player, and a great player for us no doubt but I always used to be amused by Peter Shilton whenever he conceded. Whether it was his fault or not (and sometimes it blatantly was!) the reaction was pretty much always the same - hands on hips and the death stare at the nearest defender as though they'd personally called him a c**t! 😄

Agree on smith and Thompson, smith should be Adams back up. Like you say Thompson runs a lot. He does seem to be a more positive player now and plays forward a lot more than when first in the side. Would be surprised if Thompson plays much next season. 
We need to replace bird and hourihane I’d say. Brannagan or Sheehan be ideal for bird.

IMHO only Adams from those three is anywhere near the level we will need next season.
Smith is a good solid pro dropping through the divisions and Thompson is little more than a keen runner.
Winning the midfield will be so important and will require strength, stamina and guile.
I think we probably need at least two, possibly three new midfield players in our squad.

Been told the budget for the summer is good from recent sales and that there is no need to sell any players to buy. I’m quite hopeful 🙂 

Smith and Bradley really stepped up towards the end of the season when we needed them most. Nelson and Cash were great for the majority of the season, but I thought Bradley was a colossus over the last month. Similarly, Smith really came into his own around the same time as well. I love that we really carried no one this year. At different times in the season everyone has contributed something.

I would love to see Brannigan line up alongside Adams in the centre of our midfield💪👌
