I think after the past few years in which we very nearly went out of existence amongst other things, it must surely be hard to begrudge people celebrating this (pottential) great achievement by going way over the top.
You don't get pitch invations at places like Old Trafford or Anfield because they're used to success and take it for granted.
But for us, what have we had to celebrate? Other than the two promotions in the 80s when I was too young to remember, we've had Promotion in 1996 and Promotion in 2007. Great days by the way.
But that's it. I'm nearly 40 and should everything go the way we hope, this is the third big celebration in my life and the first since I was 21.
I'm going to forget myself, the boring law abiding citezen that I am and for one day and one day only I'm going to run as hard and fast onto that pitch and try and plant a big fat kiss on any one of this season's heroes, I will soak it all up with my fellow rams fans, then I'll head back to the stand and applaud the players, manager and staff before heading into town until god knows when.
I'm so excited, it genuinly feels exactly the same as creeping down the stairs on Christmas morning full of anticpation for what's behind the living room door.
So I'll behave, I won't be a thug, but I will forget my age and responsibilites for a day and enjoy feeling like a big kid on Christmas

I've just seen the latest post from the club warning us and I've changed my stance. I'll stay in my seat because I'm too much of a goody two shoes to risk a criminal record and certainly don't want a club ban.
If there's 10,000 + on there then I'll venture on but calmly 😄

Of course I cannot vouch for anyone else and I'm not saying I'm right by the way. Just confessing to liking a pitch invasion and (perhaps naively) picture the day being like 1996 where there's the initial euphoria of fans celebrating on the pitch followed by a jubilent lap of honour.
I'm probably getting too excited and I am more than likely in the wrong, just being honest on how I see things mate.

Why should a team that's spent the whole season proving they're not up to playing in the division above get a chance for a reprieve in a one off match? It's also just got the absolute worst vibes for hope, ambition, joy. Just hate the idea. So PL will probably implement it.
    My preference would be:
3rd play 4th at home - winner is finalist. Loser plays winner of 5/6 at home.
5th play 6th at home - winner plays loser of 3v4 away.
Winner of that match goes to the final.
I like it because each place up you finish gives an advantage.
3rd has 2 shots at making the final, both at home.
4th has 2 shots at it, second of those at home.
5th has to win 2 games to get to the final, but the first is at home.
6th has to win 2 away games to make the final.
Final because it's a good money spinner. The games to get there are not two legs.
It's still balls because we all know top 3 should go up by right, but the entertainment value of the play offs is a good thing overall.

Let’s hope they do, Derbys defence isn’t the best and they could easily slip up doing that. Come on you Carlisle. 🥳

We only have the keeper with the joint most clean sheets and the fewest goals conceded in the league. 18 goals conceded at home all season.
I'd actually go so far as to say we DO have the best defence.

A four goal victory bridges the seven goal swing required Warren - but it's irrelevant as Derby will not lose to Carlisle. Sure it will be a bit of fun for a while on the final day, but although most Rams fans on here are fairly sensible, they, like us, have their idiots and you really shouldn't encourage them by talking about our chances of replacing them in second. Let their idiots troll our idiots and leave them to it. The sensible Rams - and their manager - were gracious enough to recognise they were lucky to get the points against us to put them where they are so the least we can do is be gracious enough to accept our fate and focus on the our own games - and the fact that we actually threw away the title (and 20+ points) through poor performances against teams in the bottom half earlier in the season. Probably best just to say "well done Derby" and leave it at that.
